Overview

Hatori welcomes you to the heart of Yamashiro Onsen, where the warmth of wood and the softness of natural leaves inspire every detail. Surrounded by traditional hot spring culture and set in a peaceful environment, this inn helps you connect with both nature and yourself.

The ryokan honors the atmosphere of Yamashiro Onsen through its thoughtful design, calming decor, and a deep respect for relaxation and quiet. Whether you’re traveling alone or with others, Hatori invites you to unwind at your own pace.

Accommodation

Hatori offers a wide range of Japanese-style rooms, designed with natural materials and a strong attention to detail. All rooms include essential amenities such as a TV, bidet toilet, hairdryer, refrigerator, free Wi-Fi, and traditional yukata robes.

Choose from the following room types:

  • Suite Rooms A & B with Open-Air Baths: Spacious rooms with tatami mats, twin beds, and a private open-air bath. The water is not from a hot spring, but you can fill the tub at your leisure.
  • Deluxe Rooms A & B: Large Japanese-style rooms with space for families or groups, available with or without twin beds.
  • Standard Rooms: Comfortable and simple, including a large-type room that can accommodate up to eight people.
  • Single Rooms: Perfect for solo travelers, featuring six tatami mats and everything you need for a peaceful stay.

Each room invites you to rest and recharge in an atmosphere of gentle light and natural textures.

Dining

At Hatori, every meal reflects the rich flavors and traditions of Kaga cuisine. The chef prepares dishes with ginger, koji (fermented grains), and seasonal local ingredients. The food is not only healthy and nourishing—it’s also beautifully presented.

Dinner and breakfast are served at Restaurant Uzuki, a space made with bamboo, timber, and soft lighting. You can sit at tables or enjoy traditional floor seating with legroom. Pair your meal with local sake for an authentic dining experience.

From delicately arranged appetizers to nourishing soups and fresh seafood, your meals at Hatori offer more than flavor—they create lasting memories.

Onsen and Wellness

Hatori invites you to enjoy a tour of its hot springs, with large public baths made of stone and natural cypress, as well as private baths you can reserve.

  • Kumanbo-no-Yu: A large bath for men and women that includes an open-air section and a sauna.
  • Oyakushi-no-Yu: Open from early morning to late at night, this public bath offers quiet soaking and healing water.
  • Private Baths: Two beautifully designed spaces, one made of cypress and the other of stone, give you a private place to relax as a couple or family.

You can also visit the sister inn Rurikoh, just five minutes away on foot, and enjoy additional hot spring facilities for free.

The hot springs at Yamashiro Onsen are alkaline, known for improving circulation, easing fatigue, and promoting overall wellness.
