Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya offers 24 guest rooms, each created for your style of travel. Some rooms do have open air baths for when you want a luxury and private retreat. Some rooms are perfect for those who want to experience a futon while others have western style beds, on tatami floors.

Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya serves kaiseki cuisine at the open dining area Senbazuru, where meals are prepared using seasonal ingredients sourced from Yamagata.

The focus here is on promoting the original taste of ingredients to celebrate what nature offers us. The food leftovers at the Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya are used for fertilizer purposes, so their local farm can grow chemical-free organic vegetables.

Onsen & Wellness

The onsen features sodium calcium sulfate springs. The waters of Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya are sourced from Tendo Onsen, which have been flowing since 1911. Enjoy the onsen in the large indoor and outdoor communal baths, “Ginga no Yu” and “Tenku no Yu,” or in the privacy of your own room.
