Accommodation
Hotel Shiragiku offers a range of rooms designed for comfort, relaxation, and a touch of luxury. On the premium Kikuman’you floor, you can enjoy a semi-open-air or full private hot spring bath directly in your room. These spacious Japanese-Western style suites feature tatami floors and twin beds, combining traditional design with comfort. Some of these rooms sleep up to five adults, ideal for families or groups.
You can also choose Japanese-style rooms with scenic views of Beppu Park and Mount Tsurumi, or opt for business-type Western twin rooms. All rooms include air conditioning, a TV, and access to free Wi-Fi. Some rooms are fitted with fully private hot spring baths, so you can soak at any time without leaving your space.
For a deeper experience, the Kikuman’you spa suites offer an elevated stay with healing hot springs and peaceful interiors designed for restful sleep.
Dining

These meals highlight the region’s prized ingredients such as Shiroshita flatfish in spring, Sekiaji horse mackerel in summer, marbled Bungo beef in autumn, and tender Usuki pufferfish in winter.
If you prefer dining in a restaurant setting, try the Japanese restaurant “Kikusaikou,” where you can eat in a private room, or head to the top-floor Sky Dining “Garland” for wide views over Beppu Bay while you enjoy your meal.

Onsen and Wellness
Soak in the famous Beppu hot springs right at the hotel. Known as the “hot water of beauty,” the natural hydrogen carbonate springs leave your skin feeling smooth and refreshed. The water comes out at 50°C, offering a gentle but invigorating soak.
The Kusuyudono bath area features an all-cypress indoor bath and an open-air bath where you can look up at the stars. The Kikuyudono bath area includes a stone tower, a bubble bath, and a mist bath, all adding different textures to your onsen experience.
You can also book rooms with private hot spring baths, letting you enjoy the therapeutic waters any time during your stay.
Baths are available from 1:00 PM to 12:30 AM and again from 5:00 AM to 9:30 AM. Each bath area is gender-separated, with full amenities including bath towels, skincare products, and iced tea.
Guests with Tattoos
If you have tattoos, you cannot use the large public baths at this ryokan. This includes all tattoo types, regardless of size or purpose. To enjoy the hot springs privately, consider booking a room with an in-room bath.
Facilities
Hotel Shiragiku provides everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Free parking is available for up to 70 vehicles, on a first-come, first-served basis. Wi-Fi is free and available in all rooms.

There is no sauna, but the large bathing areas and in-room hot springs offer more than enough ways to relax and unwind.
