Overview
Tsuri-bashi House gives you a private log-house stay in Ito, Shizuoka, close to Jogasaki Coast and Kadowaki Suspension Bridge. You stay in a full-house rental with space for up to eight people, surrounded by the coastal forest of the Jogasaki area.
This is not a ryokan with shared public baths or served meals. You have the whole cabin to yourself, with a kitchen, terrace, barbecue and fire-pit equipment, three bathrooms, three toilets, and private hot spring bathing. The setting works well when you want nature, privacy, and easy access to one of Izu’s most dramatic coastal walking areas.
Kadowaki Suspension Bridge is only a short walk away, and the nearby coastal promenade makes morning walks easy. From the bridge and lighthouse area, you can look out over the Pacific Ocean, sea cliffs, and forested coastline before returning to your private bath or terrace.
Accommodation
Tsuri-bashi House is a 126-square-metre private log house with two bedrooms, eight beds, three bathrooms, and space for up to eight people. You reserve the entire cabin, so you do not share the house, baths, kitchen, terrace, or parking area with another booking.
The first bedroom has two single beds. The second bedroom is a futon room with six futons. For a smaller group, three to four people can sleep in the futon room. When you stay with seven or eight people, extra futons need to be placed in the upstairs hall or in the first-floor living area.
The house includes a living area, kitchen, terrace, three full bathrooms, three toilets, air conditioning, television, Wi-Fi, and parking for up to three cars. The layout suits families, friends, and two-family trips because the bathroom and toilet count makes shared stays easier.
Linens and towels are cotton and are changed between stays. Disposable body towels and slippers are provided. Bath towels and face towels are for Bath towels and face towels are for use during the stay only.
Dining
Tsuri-bashi House does not serve meals, so you can cook freely in the kitchen or arrange your own barbecue on the terrace. This gives you control over your schedule, whether you want a slow breakfast before a coastal walk or a relaxed dinner after sightseeing.
The kitchen allows you to prepare meals inside the house, while the barbecue terrace lets you cook outdoors when you choose to use the equipment. Barbecue and fire-pit equipment can be arranged on site depending on your plans and weather. Firewood, charcoal, grilling nets, tongs, and related tools are connected with that setup, while food and drinks are your responsibility.
You can shop by car, or use the two electric-assist bicycles to reach nearby stores in around ten minutes. Izu Ocean BBQ and food options around Izu Oceanic Park are also within reach by foot or a short drive, giving you another option when you want to eat outside the house.
Onsen and Wellness
You have three separate bathing spaces: an outdoor natural hot spring bath, an indoor natural hot spring bath, and a shower room. This setup works well when several people stay together, as you do not have to rely on one bathroom for the whole group.
The outdoor bath looks toward the coastal forest along Jogasaki Coast. You can soak in private while feeling the air from the trees and the sea. The indoor bath also uses natural hot spring water, giving you another private bathing option when the weather is cool, windy, or rainy.
The hot spring baths are not free-flowing. When the tubs are full, you stop the hot spring tap. You can keep a small flow running for warmth for a short period, but the tap needs to be turned off properly before bed.
Shampoo, treatment, body soap, hand soap, and disposable toothbrushes are provided. Since this is a private rental, you can bathe at your own pace without public-bath hours.
Guests with Tattoos
You can use the baths if you have tattoos. Tsuri-bashi House is a private full-house rental with private hot spring baths and no shared public bathing facilities.

The property is pet-friendly, and one pet can stay when the house rules are followed. You need to bring the supplies your pet needs and respect the rules for bedding, furniture, cleanliness, noise, and the surrounding villa area.
The house has self check-in by keypad. Smoking and noise rules are strict because the cabin sits inside a managed villa area. The property also has height-related safety notes, so you should take care around decks, steps, and outdoor areas, especially when travelling with children.
Activities
Kadowaki Suspension Bridge is one of the easiest outings from the house. The entrance is around three minutes away on foot, and the bridge and lighthouse area are around five minutes away. From there, you can enjoy Pacific Ocean views, cliffs, sea air, and the dramatic Jogasaki Coast scenery.
The national park promenade along the coast gives you a good morning walk from the house. The listing describes a walking route of around 40 minutes from the marine park area to the suspension bridge, making it easy to enjoy the landscape before breakfast or before a bath.
Izu Oceanic Park, Izu Ocean BBQ, the iso pool area, Boranaya, and the local seawater pool are within walking or short driving distance. The area also has cafés and pottery experiences nearby, so you can shape the stay around light sightseeing, coastal walking, food, craft, and time at the house.
Jogasaki Coast is known for lava cliffs formed by volcanic activity from Mount Omuro, and Kadowaki Suspension Bridge hangs above the rocky inlet. This makes the area especially good for photography, short walks, and quiet nature time along the sea.
Additional Features
Check-in is after 4:00 p.m., and check-out is before 10:00 a.m. Early check-in may be possible during quieter periods when the previous night is not booked, but it needs to be arranged in advance. From January 2025, the listed check-out time is 10:00 a.m.
Jogasaki-Kaigan Station is around 20 minutes away on foot. If you arrive without a car, the electric-assist bicycles can help you reach nearby shopping spots, cafés, and local facilities. By car, parking for up to three vehicles makes the house practical for group travel.
