Overview
Kashibesso Hanatsumori offers a private villa stay at the foot of Mount Omuro in Izu Kogen. Reserved for one group per day, the entire two-storey house becomes your own space for relaxing, cooking, bathing, and spending uninterrupted time together.
With room for up to 12 people, the villa works especially well for family gatherings, trips with friends, and longer group stays. A private natural hot spring bath, three tatami rooms, a full kitchen, BBQ facilities, games, exercise equipment, and high-speed Wi-Fi make it easy to enjoy the property in any weather.
The location also puts you within walking distance of Mount Omuro and Izu Shaboten Zoo, while other popular Izu attractions are only a short drive away.
Accommodation
Hanatsumori includes three Japanese-style tatami rooms arranged across two floors. The first floor has one 8-tatami room with four futons. The second floor has one 10-tatami room and one 8-tatami room, each with four futons.
This flexible layout gives families and groups separate sleeping areas while keeping everyone together under one roof. Air conditioning and heating are available throughout, so the villa stays comfortable across the seasons.
A sunroom beside the first-floor tatami room includes exercise equipment, giving you another space to use during your stay. An indoor elevator also makes it easier to move between floors.
Check-in is available from 15:00 to 18:00, and check-out is by 10:00.
Dining
Hanatsumori is a self-catering villa, giving you complete freedom over meals. The kitchen includes an IH cooking heater, cassette gas stove, large refrigerator, 10-cup rice cooker, microwave, toaster oven, and electric kettle.
Cookware and tableware are also provided, including pots, frying pans, knives, chopping boards, bowls, strainers, plates, glasses, cutlery, and children’s dishes. Cleaning supplies, kitchen paper, food wrap, foil, and rubbish bags are available as well.
For an outdoor meal, you can use the covered BBQ area until 21:00. The grill, charcoal tongs, and cooking grate are provided at no extra charge. Bring your own charcoal, firelighters, gloves, ingredients, seasonings, and any preferred grilling accessories.
Nearby supermarkets and convenience stores make it easy to collect food and drinks before settling in for the evening.
Onsen and wellness
The villa includes a private indoor bath supplied with 100% natural hot spring water. The home-style design makes it easy to step in, sit back, and enjoy the onsen without leaving the house or sharing the space.
The water is classified as an alkaline simple hot spring. Traditional bathing indications include relief from fatigue, muscle discomfort, joint stiffness, sensitivity to cold, and general recovery after physical activity.
The hot spring bath is available from 15:00 to 23:00. Because the entire villa is reserved for your group, you can enjoy the water in complete privacy.
Guests with tattoos
Tattoos are accepted in the private hot spring bath. The bathing area belongs entirely to your group throughout the stay.
Facilities
Hanatsumori is well equipped for both relaxed evenings and rainy days. Entertainment includes a television with YouTube access, a PS4, manga, mahjong, and children’s toys. High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
The villa also provides a washing machine, hairdryer, towels, bath towels, toothbrush sets, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, cotton swabs, hangers, and other useful items.
Free parking is available for up to three cars. The property can generally accommodate two standard vehicles and one small vehicle.
During summer, a children’s inflatable pool may be available. Handheld fireworks without loud sounds are also permitted in the designated area until 21:00.
Activities
Mount Omuro and Izu Shaboten Zoo are both within walking distance, making Hanatsumori especially convenient for sightseeing around Izu Kogen.
Sakura no Sato is about 1.3 kilometres away, while Izu Granpal Park and Lake Ippeki are around 3 to 4 kilometres from the villa. Jogasaki Coast, Komuroyama Park, local golf courses, beaches, seafood restaurants, and coastal viewpoints are also easy to reach by car.
Back at the villa, you can enjoy a BBQ, play games, read manga, exercise in the sunroom, or spend the evening soaking in the private hot spring bath.
