Overview

Kinparou, located in the vibrant heart of Kyoto, offers a traditional ryokan experience, blending the charm of the city with easy access to its many attractions. Just steps away from Nishiki Market—known as the “Kitchen of Kyoto”—and close to the bustling Shinkyogoku area, Kinparou is perfect for those looking to explore Kyoto’s sights, shop, and immerse themselves in the culture of the city.

Accommodation

The rooms at Kinparou provide a tranquil retreat with classic Japanese design, including tatami flooring and sliding doors. All rooms are equipped with modern essentials such as Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a private bathroom.

The ryokan also offers a barrier-free room with twin beds, designed to be accessible and comfortable for all guests, featuring flat flooring and handrails for ease of movement. There is also a newly opened annex, featuring western-style rooms with separate shower and toilet areas, ideal for those who prefer a more contemporary space, while still enjoying traditional hospitality.

Dining

At Kinparou, dining is an experience that brings Kyoto’s seasons to life. The chefs use locally sourced ingredients, including Kyoto vegetables, to prepare Kaiseki dishes served in the privacy of your room. Special highlights include Kyoto wagyu beef shabu-shabu. There are also Kaiseki meal options specially crafted for children, ensuring a delightful experience for the entire family.

For breakfast, a traditional Japanese meal is available, featuring Kinparou’s renowned soft tofu, freshly prepared miso soup, and locally sourced pickles, providing a gentle and nourishing start to your day.

Onsen & Wellness

The bathhouse at Kinparou offers a unique experience—the “Tea Bath” infused with fragrant Uji tea leaves. This bath uses high-quality tea from Fukujuen, renowned for its skin-benefiting properties, as well as its anti-bacterial and antioxidant effects. Relax in these soothing waters, known for their cleansing and rejuvenating qualities. The bath is open from 15:30 to 24:30.

Guests with Tattoos

If you have tattoos, please ensure they are covered with a waterproof seal before entering the public baths, as tattoo policy requires all tattoos to be concealed.
