From Izu-Kogen Station, you can reach the hotel by bus or taxi in about 7 minutes, making it a convenient base for a coastal hot spring stay.
This resort gives you ocean-view rooms, Japanese-Western room styles, hot spring bathing, seasonal kaiseki dining, and easy access to well-known Izu sights. You can wake up to the sunrise over Sagami Bay from selected rooms, enjoy a quiet soak after sightseeing, and spend your time between the sea, the hot spring, and the relaxed pace of Izu.
Accommodation
Livemax Resort Jogasaki Coast offers Japanese-Western rooms and Western-style rooms, with Simmons beds introduced in the rooms for a more restful sleep. You can choose a higher-grade suite with a private terrace and open-air bath, an ocean-view room facing Sagami Bay, or a dog-friendly room when you travel with your dog.
The Wabirei Suite is the top suite at the hotel, with 54 square meters of space, a private terrace, and a Shigaraki ware open-air bath with natural hot spring water. The Wabirei Junior Suite gives you 45 square meters, a Japanese-inspired layout, a private terrace, and a Shigaraki ware open-air bath. The Wa Modern Junior Suite also has 45 square meters, a private terrace, and an open-air bath, along with ReFa collaboration items such as a dryer, iron, and bath amenities.
The Wa Modern Moderate Western Room is a 30-square-meter room with a Shigaraki ware open-air bath, so you can enjoy a private soak at your own pace. The Wa Modern Corner Western Room is a 30-square-meter ocean-view corner room where you can look out toward Jogasaki Coast and see the sunrise over Sagami Bay. The Wa Modern Western Room gives you 40 square meters and ocean views, with a calm layout suited to a relaxed Izu stay. If you travel with your dog, the Wa Modern Corner Western DOG Room gives you 30 square meters, ocean views, and a pet cage for your dog during the stay.
Room amenities include room Wi-Fi, wired internet, a refrigerator, washlet toilet, individual air conditioning, humidifier, TV, kettle, hair dryer, tea, glasses, samue-style room wear, slippers, in-house clothing, bathrobe, drawstring bag, Japanese futon bedding, sitting chairs, hangers, towels, toothbrush set, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, razor, cotton set, and a Bluetooth speaker. Some items, including DVD players, LAN cables, steam irons, blankets, bed guards, and children’s slippers, are available as rental items in limited numbers.
Dining
Dining at Livemax Resort Jogasaki Coast centers on Japanese kaiseki meals for both dinner and breakfast. Dinner features seasonal ingredients, seafood, and fresh local flavors from the Izu Peninsula, served in a Japanese dining space where you can slow down after a day by the coast.
Dinner is served from 18:00 to 21:00, with last order at 20:30. Because dinner is served as kaiseki, you need to enter by 19:00. Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 9:30, with last order at 9:00, giving you time to start the morning gently before sightseeing or traveling onward.
An optional 60-minute all-you-can-drink alcohol plan is available for an additional charge. If you want to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or special stay, cake orders can also be arranged through the hotel’s cake reservation service.
Onsen and Wellness
The hot spring bath area at Livemax Resort Jogasaki Coast has a large bath and a medium-sized bath, with separate bathing areas, changing rooms, lockers, shower stations, bath stools, pails, hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, a water server, and men’s and women’s skincare items. You can use the baths in the morning from 6:00 to 11:00 and in the afternoon and evening from 15:00 to 24:00.
The hot spring source is Taishima Onsen, Taishima No. 22. The water is a calcium-sodium chloride and sulfate spring, classified as hypotonic, weakly alkaline, and high temperature, with a source temperature of 63.6°C. The listed benefits include relief for nerve pain, muscle pain, joint pain, frozen shoulder, joint stiffness, bruises, sprains, sensitivity to cold, fatigue recovery, recovery after illness, cuts, burns, chronic skin conditions, and general health support.
Day-use bathing is also available. Day-use bath hours are 8:00 to 11:00, with last entry at 10:30, and 14:00 to 24:00, with last entry at 22:00. Separate day-use fees apply, and towel rental is available for an additional fee.
Guests with Tattoos
Livemax Resort Jogasaki Coast does not allow hot spring bathing if you have tattoos, tattoo stickers, or body paint. This applies to the hot spring baths, so this property is not suitable if using the onsen is an essential part of your stay and you have tattoos.
Facilities
Livemax Resort Jogasaki Coast has a hot spring bath area, restaurant, recreation space, selected dog-friendly accommodation, room Wi-Fi, wired internet, DVD player rental, mobile phone charger rental, free parking, rental bicycles, parcel delivery by cash on delivery, fax service, table tennis, putting practice, ice cream service, and cake reservation service. The recreation space has table tennis, and you can borrow games such as Othello, go, shogi, mahjong, playing cards, and hanafuda at no extra charge. WiiU rental is available for a fee. Parking is free and available for 11 standard cars on a first-come basis, with a height limit listed for the parking area. The hotel does not have kitchens in the rooms, so self-catering is not available.
Activities
Jogasaki Coast gives you one of Izu’s most memorable coastal landscapes, with rugged rock formations, walking paths, and sea views. You can visit the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge, a famous Jogasaki landmark that stretches 48 meters across the coast and rises about 23 meters above the sea. The surrounding lava scenery was formed by lava flow from Mount Omuro thousands of years ago, giving the area its bold volcanic coastline.
You can also visit Izu Granpal Park for outdoor fun, Izu Shaboten Zoo for animals and cactus gardens, and nearby cultural spots such as Nosaka Automata Museum. At the hotel, you can keep the day simple with a hot spring soak, table tennis, board games, putting practice, or a rental bicycle ride around the area.
Additional Features
Check-in starts at 15:00, with final check-in at 22:00, and check-out is by 11:00. The front desk is open from 7:00 to 22:00. After check-in, there is no curfew, so you can go out in the evening and return at your own pace. If you arrive early, you can complete check-in procedures before 15:00, but room entry begins from 15:00 unless the room is ready and early use is available for an extra fee.
You can stay with your dog only in the designated dog-friendly room. Parking is free but limited, and motorcycles can also be accepted. If you stay for more than one night and want room cleaning, you need to request it at the front desk by 11:00. Cancellation fees begin from seven days before arrival.
