Overview
Log Cabin Izukogen gives you a fully private wooden cabin stay in Ito, Shizuoka. The house sits in the Izu Kogen area, around seven minutes by car from Izu-Kogen Station, and gives you space to slow down with family or friends in a quiet villa setting.
The cabin is built with natural wood, giving the whole space a warm and relaxed feeling. You can cook together, enjoy a barbecue on the balcony when arranged in advance, soak in your private onsen, or spend winter evenings by the fireplace. Because you reserve the entire cabin, you do not share the living spaces, kitchen, bath, or outdoor areas with another booking.
This stay works well when you want the comfort of a private home with the added pleasure of natural hot spring bathing. You can enjoy Izu Kogen at your own pace, with beaches, coastal walks, Mount Omuro, and other Ito attractions within easy reach by car.
Accommodation
You have the full cabin to yourself, with three bedrooms and space for up to eight people. The sleeping layout includes one bedroom with three single beds, one bedroom with three futons, and one bedroom with one semi-double bed. This setup gives your group flexibility, whether you prefer beds or a more Japanese-style sleep on futons.
The living, dining, and kitchen area gives you a shared space to cook, eat, talk, and relax together. A television, Wi-Fi, washing machine, dryer, refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, electric kettle, toaster, hot plate, tabletop gas stove, cookware, dishes, and utensils are provided. Bath towels, face towels, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and laundry detergent are also prepared for your stay.
The cabin includes one bathroom and private onsen access. Heating and cooling support year-round stays, and the indoor fireplace is available during the colder season. The fireplace can be used from late November through the end of February, with firewood and fire starters provided for each group.
Dining
Log Cabin Izukogen does not serve set meals, so you can enjoy complete freedom with your dining schedule. The kitchen includes the main equipment you need for simple home cooking, including a refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, electric kettle, toaster, hot plate, tabletop gas stove, pots, dishes, and cooking utensils.
You should bring your own food, drinks, condiments, and seasonings. This works well if you want to shop locally, prepare breakfast slowly, or cook dinner together after a day out in Izu.
A gas barbecue can be arranged in advance and used on the balcony during the permitted hours. The setup includes an LPG gas barbecue grill, gas, tongs, and outdoor furniture. Charcoal grills are not allowed, and you need to bring your own ingredients and condiments. Balcony and barbecue use ends at 9:00 p.m. to protect the quiet atmosphere of the villa area.
Onsen and Wellness
The cabin includes a private en-suite onsen, so you can enjoy natural hot spring bathing without entering a shared public bath. After sightseeing, driving, or walking along the coast, you can return to the cabin and soak in your own space.
The bathroom has a partition, and bathing amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are provided. Because the bath is private to your booking, you can bathe at your own pace without following public bathing schedules.
In winter, the fireplace adds another layer of comfort after your bath. You can warm the room, sit together in the wooden interior, and enjoy a quiet evening without needing to leave the property.
Guests with Tattoos
The onsen bath is private to your booking, so you can use it if you have tattoos. There are no shared public bathing facilities at Log Cabin Izukogen.
Facilities
You have exclusive use of the full cabin, including the living and dining space, kitchen, three bedrooms, private onsen bathroom, washing machine, dryer, balcony, and parking area. Wi-Fi is available and listed as suitable for streaming and video calls. The property also includes a television, cooking equipment, tableware, laundry detergent, towels, toiletries, and seasonal fireplace equipment.
Self check-in is handled through a lockbox, making arrival simple within the listed check-in window. Parking is available for two vehicles. Smoking is not allowed inside the cabin, and music or loud noise is not allowed at night because the property sits in a quiet villa area.
Activities
You can spend your time at the cabin cooking, bathing, relaxing by the fireplace in winter, or sharing a barbecue on the balcony when the weather is suitable and the setup has been arranged in advance. The full-house layout makes it easy to enjoy time together without outside interruptions.
Izu Kogen also gives you access to some of Ito’s best-known natural sights. Mount Omuro is one of the area’s landmark volcanic landscapes, and Jogasaki Coast offers dramatic coastal scenery, walking paths, cliffs, and sea views. Ito is also known as a hot spring city on the eastern side of the Izu Peninsula, with seafood, nature, and onsen culture all close by.
A car gives you the easiest way to move between the cabin, Izu-Kogen Station, the coast, restaurants, shops, and sightseeing spots around Ito.
Additional Features
Check-in is from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and check-out is by 10:00 a.m. The cabin allows longer stays, making it suitable when you want more time in Izu Kogen rather than a quick overnight stop.
Children aged three and older count toward the occupancy. The maximum capacity is eight people. The property is fully private, with no shared indoor spaces, and the quiet-night rules make it best suited to groups who want a relaxed stay rather than a party setting.
Log Cabin Izukogen suits you when you want a private wooden cabin, a natural hot spring bath, a kitchen, laundry facilities, seasonal fireplace use, and easy access to the nature and coastline of Ito.
