Noboribetsu Grand Hotel, established in 1938, is affectionately known as “the Guest House in Noboribetsu” because it was chosen as the accommodation for the Showa Emperor and Empress.

Jigokudani is a volcanic crater formed by eruptions of Mount Hiyori, displaying many gushing hot spring water points and hot steam vents.

A circular lake with a circumference of 8km, Lake Kuttara was once a volcanic caldera. Its mystic clear water attracts many visitors.
