Overview

Private Resort Aomi gives you an entire ocean-view villa in the hills of Higashi-Izu. Surrounded by trees inside the Izu Atagawa villa area, the property looks across the eastern coastline of the Izu Peninsula and toward the Izu Islands when the weather is clear.

The 169㎡ villa accommodates up to 11 people, making it well suited to couples, families, and groups travelling together. European-inspired interiors, a high-ceilinged living room, a large terrace, private hot spring bathing, and an ocean-facing sauna create a stay focused on privacy and time together.

There is no shared lobby, restaurant, or public bath. You set your own schedule, prepare meals when you choose, and move between the sauna, hot spring, terrace, and home theatre without leaving the villa.

Accommodation

You have the entire villa to yourself. The layout includes three bedrooms, a spacious living and dining area, a kitchen, a bathroom, and outdoor terrace space.

Sleeping arrangements include two double beds, two single beds, and five futons or floor mattresses. This flexible setup allows up to 11 people to stay together while still having separate areas for sleep and relaxation.

The living room has a large sofa, high ceiling, and wide windows that draw your attention toward the sea. A 120-inch screen and 5.1-channel surround-sound system turn the room into a private home theatre for films, music, and group evenings.

Heating, air conditioning, television, free Wi-Fi, a washing machine, dryer, and storage space make the villa practical for both short breaks and longer stays.

Dining

Private Resort Aomi does not have a restaurant or provide breakfast and dinner. Instead, you can prepare your own meals in the full kitchen and eat according to your own schedule.

The kitchen includes a three-burner gas stove, oven microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator, rice cooker, cookware, knives, tableware, cutlery, and dishwashing supplies. Basic seasonings include salad oil, salt, and sugar, while other sauces, spices, and ingredients should be brought with you.

The terrace includes a BBQ area where you can grill seafood, meat, and vegetables while looking toward the coast. BBQ equipment requires advance arrangement and an additional fee. The space does not have a roof, so it cannot be used during rain.

Shopping before you arrive makes the stay easier, especially when you plan to cook several meals. Fresh seafood and local produce from the Izu area work particularly well for a relaxed dinner at the villa.

Onsen and wellness

The private semi-open-air bath uses natural hot spring water and looks toward the sea and surrounding forest. The stone bathing area comfortably accommodates around two people, giving you an intimate place to soak without following public bathing hours.

You can use the bath whenever it suits your plans, from an early-morning soak before sunrise to a quiet bath after dinner. Because the entire property belongs to your group, you never share the bathing area with anyone else.

The private sauna sits beside the bathroom. After heating up, you can step directly onto the terrace and rest on an outdoor lounger while feeling the coastal air. A mist shower offers another way to cool down between sauna sessions.

The combination of hot spring water, sauna heat, outdoor cooling, and sea views creates a complete wellness routine within the villa.

Guests with tattoos

Tattoos are accepted in the private hot spring bath and sauna. You have the entire villa and bathing area to yourself, so you can enjoy both facilities without covering your tattoos.

Facilities

The villa includes a 120-inch home-theatre screen, 5.1-channel surround sound, free Wi-Fi, television, private sauna, natural hot spring bath, ocean-view terrace, outdoor loungers, mist shower, full kitchen, washing machine, dryer, heating, air conditioning, towels, bed linen, hairdryer, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and other basic toiletries.

Two vehicles can park within the grounds. The villa stands in a mountain area, so arriving by car is the most convenient choice when carrying luggage, groceries, and BBQ ingredients.

Activities

You can enjoy much of the stay without leaving the villa. Begin with sunrise over the sea, prepare breakfast in the kitchen, spend time in the sauna and hot spring, then watch a film on the large screen after dinner.

For sightseeing, Atagawa Tropical and Alligator Garden combines crocodiles, red pandas, a manatee, and tropical plants. The hot spring town of Izu Atagawa also offers footbaths, coastal scenery, and the steam-filled sight of hot spring towers.

Mount Omuro gives you wide views across the Izu Peninsula from its crater rim, while Jogasaki Coast offers walking paths, cliffs, ocean views, and a suspension bridge. These destinations can be combined into a day trip before returning to the villa for a BBQ and evening soak.

Local seafood shops and markets give you the chance to collect fish, shellfish, and other ingredients for dinner. At night, the hillside setting creates good conditions for stargazing when the sky is clear.

Additional features
