Overview

Rakuten STAY FUJIMI TERRACE Hakone Ashinoko gives you a private lakeside stay with views of Lake Ashi, Hakone Shrine’s torii gate, and Mount Fuji on clear days. The property sits along the historic Old Tokaido Road, where cedar trees more than 300 years old add a deep sense of place to the arrival.

With only 24 rooms, this stay feels more like a private holiday home than a standard hotel. Every room has a natural hot spring bath and a terrace foot bath, so you can enjoy the view, soak at your own pace, and spend time together without using shared bath spaces. It is a strong choice when you want Hakone scenery, privacy, self-catering comfort, and easy access to Lake Ashi sightseeing.

Accommodation

Every room at Rakuten STAY FUJIMI TERRACE Hakone Ashinoko has a private natural hot spring bath and a terrace foot bath with counter seating. You can open the large bath windows for a semi-open-air feeling, then move to the terrace foot bath to enjoy the lake air and Mount Fuji views when the weather is clear.

The larger suite and 4-double-bed rooms are designed for group stays of up to 10 people. These rooms include four double beds and one single futon, a spacious living area, a private natural hot spring bath, a terrace foot bath, and a lake-view sauna. The 4-double-bed room also includes a projector, making it especially comfortable for families or friends who want to relax together after sightseeing.

The 2-double-bed and sofa-bed rooms are suited to smaller groups of up to five people. These rooms measure about 55 to 66 square meters and include two double beds, a sofa bed, a private natural hot spring bath, and a terrace. They give you the same private bathing style in a more compact layout.

If you travel with your dog, you can choose a dog-friendly room. The dog-friendly 2-double-bed and loft rooms accommodate up to six people and include two double beds, a loft with two single futons, a private natural hot spring bath, a terrace foot bath, a garden, and a pet foot-washing area. The dog-friendly suite accommodates up to 10 people and gives you a larger layout with a lake-view sauna and terrace foot bath.

The accessible room measures about 70 square meters and accommodates up to five people. It has two double beds, two sofa beds, a private natural hot spring bath, and a terrace foot bath, giving you more space and easier movement while still keeping the private hot spring experience.

Rooms include Wi-Fi, kitchen, IH stove, dishwasher, washer-dryer, air conditioning, toilet with bidet function, floor heating in the living-dining area, washroom, and bathroom, short-throw projector, BBQ grill, TV, oven microwave, rice cooker, tabletop IH stove, coffee machine, kettle, air purifier, hair dryer, refrigerator, nightwear, towels, slippers, bath mat, toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, and cotton swabs. Combs and razors are not provided.

Dining

Dining here is flexible and private. Meal-inclusive plans place prepared food in your room’s refrigerator before arrival, so you can enjoy dinner and breakfast at your own pace without going to a restaurant. Some meal items need simple heating or cooking, which fits the private villa-style stay.

Dinner options include a BBQ set with domestic beef and appetizers, or a domestic duck shabu-shabu hot pot set with Japanese side dishes. These meals let you enjoy a relaxed dinner in your room or on the terrace, depending on your room type and weather. Breakfast includes colorful seafood jars and selected items from popular Rakuten Ichiba shops, giving you an easy morning meal before exploring Hakone.

You can also cook for yourself in the in-room kitchen. Each room has cooking tools, dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots, pans, a rice cooker, microwave, and dishwasher. Seasonings are not provided, so you should bring your own if you plan to cook. The private-chef plan is not currently on sale, so dining is centered on prepared meal plans and self-catering.

Onsen and Wellness

Every room has a private natural hot spring bath that you can use 24 hours a day. You do not need to reserve a bathing time or share a public bath. You can soak in the morning before sightseeing, return for a quiet bath in the afternoon, or open the large windows at night for a semi-open-air feel.

The terrace foot bath adds another way to enjoy the hot spring mood without changing your whole schedule. You can sit outside with a drink, warm your feet, and look toward Lake Ashi and Mount Fuji when the sky is clear.

Some larger rooms also include a lake-view sauna. These rooms let you move between sauna, hot spring bath, terrace, and foot bath in your own private space, which makes the stay feel especially relaxing for groups or families.

Guests with Tattoos

All hot spring baths at Rakuten STAY FUJIMI TERRACE Hakone Ashinoko are private in-room baths. You can enjoy the hot spring with tattoos.

Facilities

Rakuten STAY FUJIMI TERRACE Hakone Ashinoko is designed around private room facilities rather than shared hotel spaces. You have your own kitchen, dishwasher, washer-dryer, natural hot spring bath, terrace foot bath, BBQ grill, and relaxing living area inside the room. Larger rooms also include a Bowers & Wilkins 5.1-channel surround sound system, adding a stronger entertainment setup for group stays.

The property uses unmanned check-in with smart locks and an in-room tablet. Your passcode is provided in advance, and check-in and check-out are completed through the tablet in your room. A security system supports 24-hour emergency response, so you can enjoy the privacy of an unmanned stay with support available when needed.

Dog-friendly rooms include pet sheets, waste bags, waste bin, deodorizing spray, pet wipes, food bowls, a portable pet playpen, and a pet bed. You can stay with up to two dogs in dog-friendly rooms, regardless of size, and those rooms include helpful outdoor features such as a garden, foot bath, and foot-washing area.
