Dining
Meals at Ryokan Yamazaki showcase kaiseki cuisine crafted from carefully selected seasonal ingredients. The chefs bring out the natural flavors of each ingredient to create dishes that capture the essence of Kyoto’s changing seasons.
You dine in a restaurant overlooking the ryokan’s proud Japanese garden, where the view changes as the seasons pass. The fresh colors of spring, the cool breezes of summer, the golden harvest of autumn, and the warm comfort of winter each bring a unique atmosphere to your meal.
In addition to dinner for staying guests, the ryokan also welcomes visitors for lunch. This makes it an excellent choice for meeting friends, holding business lunches, or celebrating special occasions. You can savor your meal in a relaxed space while enjoying genuine hospitality.
Onsen and Wellness
While Ryokan Yamazaki does not have large communal hot spring baths like some ryokans, it offers private in-room bathing facilities for many room types. This allows you to enjoy a peaceful soak at your own pace in complete privacy, surrounded by the tranquil environment of Takao.
Guests with Tattoos: If you have tattoos, you can enjoy your stay without restrictions, as bathing facilities are private to your room.
