Overview

Stay beside Lake Kawaguchiko at Shiki no Yado Fuji-san, directly opposite Oike Park. The lakeside location gives you easy access to walking paths, sightseeing buses, museums, cafés, and seasonal events around the lake.

The hotel has 29 rooms, many with either a Mount Fuji view or a Lake Kawaguchiko view. Your outlook depends on the room category, and clouds may hide Mount Fuji even when you book the correct side.

Natural hot spring baths, a sauna, a free lakeside foot bath, an indoor barbecue area, and a Japanese wine shop give you several ways to spend time at the property. Children aged five or younger can stay without an accommodation charge when sharing existing bedding.

Accommodation

Most accommodation consists of spacious Japanese-Western rooms with two Western beds and a tatami area. The main layout measures approximately 40 square metres and includes a ten-tatami room, giving you space to sit, relax, or prepare additional futons.

Japanese-Western rooms face either Mount Fuji or Lake Kawaguchiko. Select the correct view when booking, as one room does not normally provide uninterrupted views in both directions.

Smaller Japanese-Western layouts combine two beds with a compact tatami area. These rooms provide the same basic Japanese and Western sleeping arrangement without the floor space of the larger category.

Six Western Twin Rooms measure between approximately 12 and 20 square metres. They have two beds but no full ten-tatami sitting area, making them a practical choice when you plan to spend most of the day exploring.

Every room has a private bathroom and toilet, heating and air conditioning, television, empty refrigerator, safe, electric kettle, hair dryer, air purifier, and free Wi-Fi. Towels, toothbrushes, yukata, body wash, and shampoo are also provided.

The private room baths use regular heated water rather than natural hot spring water. Futons in Japanese-Western rooms are normally prepared by you, while staff bedding service may carry an additional charge.

Dining

The hotel does not operate a conventional restaurant with daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. Many stays are sold without meals, and the hotel provides information about nearby restaurants serving sushi, tempura, grilled meat, noodles, and Western dishes.

The top-floor indoor barbecue area provides the main on-site dining experience. Large windows give you a wide outlook toward Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko while you cook meat, seafood, and vegetables.

The enclosed design lets you barbecue during rain or strong wind. The area accepts up to four groups per day and accommodates groups of approximately two to fifteen people, so advance booking is important.

Mina Wine Gallery stands in the first-floor lobby. It carries Japanese wines from more than 150 producers across the country, with hundreds of bottles representing regions from Hokkaido to Okinawa.

You can purchase wine at retail prices to enjoy inside the hotel or take away. Wine glasses are available, and small snacks can be purchased or brought in according to the current lounge rules.

Onsen and Wellness

The first-floor public bath uses water from Fuyo-no-Yu, part of the Fujikawaguchiko Onsen area. The spring contains calcium, sodium, sulfate, and chloride minerals.

Traditional bathing indications include neuralgia, muscle and joint discomfort, bruises, fatigue, poor circulation, and digestive concerns.

Separate indoor bathing areas are provided for men and women. The hotel does not have an open-air bath, reservable family bath, or private natural hot spring.

You can use the public baths from 3:00 p.m. until midnight and again from 5:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The baths close between these periods for cleaning and water management.

The bathing areas include washing stations, lockers, shampoo, body wash, hair dryers, razors, cotton swabs, and other basic grooming items. Take your room towel with you when bathing.

Sauna facilities operate from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Sauna type and availability differ between the men’s and women’s sides.

A free foot bath stands beside the main entrance and faces Lake Kawaguchiko. You can use it from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including when you are not staying overnight.

Guests with Tattoos

You can use the communal indoor hot spring baths and sauna when you have tattoos. You do not need to cover them.

The free outdoor foot bath is also available to you. Normal bathing etiquette applies in every shared facility.

Facilities

Mina Wine Gallery occupies part of the lobby and introduces you to wine produced across Japan. You can browse the bottles even when you are not staying overnight.

The indoor barbecue terrace sits on the upper floor and provides a 270-degree outlook toward Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. Access is limited to four groups each day.

Paid rental bicycles are available for exploring Lake Kawaguchiko. Basic cyclist support includes indoor bicycle storage, maintenance space, and tools for minor adjustments.

Three seminar rooms support workshops, training sessions, meetings, and group retreats. Each room can accommodate up to approximately 100 people, depending on the seating arrangement.

The first-floor multipurpose restroom includes support rails, an ostomate washing facility, a changing surface, and a baby seat.

Additional services include massage arrangements, vending machines, free Wi-Fi, parking, and luggage storage. Credit cards from major international providers are accepted.

Activities

Rent a bicycle and follow the lakeside roads around Kawaguchiko. Museums, parks, cafés, observation points, and seasonal flower displays give you plenty of reasons to stop along the route.

Oike Park stands directly in front of the hotel. The open lakeside space provides walking paths, views across the water, and access to seasonal events such as the winter fireworks.

From October to May, selected plans include smelt fishing on a covered dome boat. The boat protects you from cold weather while you fish on Lake Kawaguchiko with Mount Fuji in the background.

Fishing equipment, bait, basic instructions, ice, and a bag for your catch are included with eligible plans. Fishing permits and other local charges may apply separately.

The Kawaguchiko sightseeing bus stops close to the hotel. You can use it to visit the ropeway, museums, Oishi Park, music attractions, and other places around the lake.

Fuji-Q Highland and the wider Fuji Five Lakes area are also within easy reach by bus, taxi, bicycle, or car.

Additional Features

Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m., and check-out is by 10:00 a.m.

Children aged five or younger can share existing bedding without an accommodation charge. A separate futon or meal may carry an additional charge.

All rooms provide free Wi-Fi, heating and air conditioning, private bathrooms, refrigerators, air purifiers, and humidifying functions.

The hotel stands beside the Kawaguchiko Herb Hall bus stop. Travel from Kawaguchiko Station takes around five to ten minutes by local sightseeing bus, depending on traffic.

Free parking is available, although the number of spaces is limited.
