Overview

SUPER HOTEL Premier Ikebukuro Natural Hot Spring places you in one of Tokyo’s busiest shopping, dining, and entertainment districts, around five minutes on foot from Ikebukuro Station’s West Exit (North). From here, you can use JR, Tokyo Metro, Seibu, and Tobu services to reach Shinjuku, Shibuya, central Tokyo, and other parts of the city with ease.

After a full day in Tokyo, you can return for a soak in natural hot spring water brought from Okuyugawara. A comfortable lounge, optional breakfast buffet, complimentary Welcome Bar, women-only floor, and rooms designed around restful sleep give you more than a standard city stay.

The hotel opened in 2022 and follows Super Hotel’s focus on sleep, health, and lower-waste travel. You can choose only the toiletries you need, drink health ion water, select a pillow that suits you, and begin each morning with organic vegetables and freshly baked bread.

Accommodation

You can choose from compact double rooms, several twin layouts, rooms with sofas, accommodation on the women-only floor, and a barrier-free option. Each category uses Super Hotel’s original mattress, slightly dimmed lighting, and clean air and water features to help you rest after travelling or walking through Tokyo.

The Standard Room measures 12 square metres and includes a 150-centimetre-wide double bed. The Extra Room has the same dimensions and bed size, giving you another compact option when travelling alone or as a couple.

The Twin Room measures 18 square metres and provides two 140-centimetre-wide beds. The Economy Twin also measures 18 square metres but combines one 140-centimetre bed with a narrower 90-centimetre bed. For more floor space, the 23-square-metre Superior Twin includes two 140-centimetre beds and a sofa.

The 15-square-metre Sofa Bed Room combines a 150-centimetre double bed with a sofa, creating more flexibility when you need an additional sleeping place. The 18-square-metre barrier-free room includes a double bed, loft bed, and sofa within a layout designed to make movement easier.

A dedicated women-only floor offers Standard, Economy Twin, and Twin rooms. You also have access to a powder room and room items selected specifically for this floor. Selected theatre rooms replace the television with a projector, giving you a larger screen for compatible entertainment.

Every room includes a private unit bath, washlet toilet, television or projector, quiet refrigerator, kettle, hairdryer, humidifying air purifier, alarm clock, USB charging point, multi-device charger, deodorising spray, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, wired internet, and free Wi-Fi.

You can collect sleepwear and choose from several pillow styles in the lobby. The pillow selection is limited, so your preferred type may not always remain available later in the evening. You can also select up to five organic toiletry items for each night of your stay. All rooms are non-smoking.

Dining

Breakfast is available each morning, although it is not included with every accommodation plan. The buffet runs from 6:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and changes from day to day.

You can begin with salad made from seasonal organic vegetables, choose from breads baked at the hotel, and add warm dishes and other breakfast items. The kitchen focuses on balanced food and ingredients prepared without unnecessary additives, giving you an easy start before sightseeing or work.

The hotel does not serve a regular lunch or dinner. Ikebukuro gives you plenty of choices nearby, including Japanese restaurants, cafés, department-store dining floors, izakaya, Chinese food, Korean food, and casual international cooking.

From 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., the lounge hosts the complimentary Welcome Bar. You can choose from alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks or combine the available mixers to make a simple cocktail or mocktail. Service times and selections may change.

Onsen and Wellness

The natural hot spring, Okuyugawara Onsen Beauty Bath, gives you the chance to enjoy water from the Yugawara area without leaving central Tokyo. The water is brought to the hotel, then heated and managed through a circulation and filtration system.

The spring is weakly alkaline, hypotonic, and naturally hot at its source. Its listed qualities include support for tiredness, joint discomfort, neuralgia, and smoother-feeling skin. A soak can feel especially welcome after walking through Tokyo, standing on trains, or spending a full day shopping.

Separate indoor bathing areas are provided for men and women, so you do not need to follow a gender-changing timetable. Both baths normally open from 3:00 p.m. until 9:30 a.m. the following morning, allowing you to bathe after arrival, before bed, or early in the morning.

The hotel does not have open-air or private hot spring baths. Every room has a private unit bath, but this uses regular bathing water rather than natural onsen water.

Guests with Tattoos

You cannot use the shared natural hot spring baths if you have tattoos. There is no private onsen available, but you can use the private unit bath inside your room.

Facilities

You have access to a lobby lounge that hosts breakfast in the morning and the Welcome Bar in the evening. A women-only floor includes its own powder area, while the lobby provides selectable pillows, sleepwear, organic toiletries, and limited rental equipment. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.

A 24-hour coin laundry includes washing machines and dryers, with detergent provided. Trouser presses stand beside the elevator on each floor, and reading lights are available in limited numbers. You can also find a designated smoking corner, although all rooms and the main indoor areas remain non-smoking.

Same-day luggage storage may be available before check-in and after departure. Bags collected after check-out need to be picked up later that same day.

Activities

Ikebukuro Station gives you direct access to several of Tokyo’s main rail and underground lines, making the hotel a practical base for exploring the city. You can reach Shinjuku and Shibuya without changing trains, while the Yamanote Line connects you with neighbourhoods such as Ueno, Tokyo Station, and Harajuku.

Closer to the hotel, you can explore the restaurants, bars, shops, and entertainment around Ikebukuro’s west side. Ikebukuro Nishiguchi Park and the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre bring performances, music, and public events to the area near the station.

On the east side, Sunshine City combines shops and restaurants with Sunshine Aquarium, an observation area, a planetarium, indoor attractions, and exhibition spaces. Ikebukuro is also known for anime, manga, character shops, gaming centres, and the specialist stores around Otome Road.

After a busy day, you can return to the hotel, choose a drink at the Welcome Bar, soak in the hot spring, and select a pillow before settling into your room.

Additional Features

Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m., with final reception at midnight, and check-out is by 10:00 a.m. Ikebukuro Station’s West Exit (North) is around five minutes away on foot, although the exact walking time depends on the station exit and your route through the surrounding streets.

You can pay on site using cash, major credit cards, selected contactless methods, and widely used QR payment services. Preschool children can share an existing bed, but each child still counts towards the room’s maximum occupancy.

SUPER HOTEL Premier Ikebukuro Natural Hot Spring works well when you want efficient transport, a comfortable room, an optional breakfast, evening drinks, and a genuine natural hot spring within central Tokyo.
