Overview
Stay close to the historic heart of Kawagoe while enjoying natural hot spring bathing, a complimentary breakfast, and easy access to public transport. Super Hotel Saitama Kawagoe places you around four minutes on foot from the east exit of Hon-Kawagoe Station, making it a convenient base for sightseeing, business, or a short stop near Tokyo.
After exploring Kawagoe’s old streets, you can return for a long soak in the natural hot spring, relax with a drink in the lounge, and settle into a room designed around restful sleep. You can also reach the hotel by car in around eight minutes from Kawagoe Interchange.
Accommodation
You can choose from Standard, Extra, Super, Theater, Connecting, and accessible rooms. A Standard Room gives you a simple and practical space for resting between work or sightseeing. An Extra Room includes a larger desk, giving you more space for a laptop, documents, or personal items. A Super Room adds a loft bed and works well when you are travelling with a child or companion.
A Theater Room replaces the standard television with a projector, allowing you to enjoy films and online content on a larger screen. Connecting Rooms give you more space when travelling together, while the accessible room reduces floor level changes and includes a larger unit bath.
Your room includes an original mattress designed to reduce pressure on your body, gentle lighting intended to support sleep, and healthy ion water. You also have free Wi-Fi, an en-suite unit bath, air conditioning, a kettle, a quiet refrigerator, a hairdryer, a mobile phone charger, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, an alarm clock, and deodorising spray. Standard televisions are available in rooms other than the Theater Room.
You can choose a pillow from the pillow corner and collect sleepwear in the lobby. Original organic toiletries, toothbrushes, tea, razors, women’s toiletries, and desk lamps are also available, although some loan items are limited. The entire building is non-smoking.
Dining
Begin your morning with a complimentary daily breakfast buffet. Breakfast runs from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM from Monday to Saturday and from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM on Sundays and public holidays.
You can build a balanced breakfast with seasonal organic vegetables, freshly baked bread, daily Japanese and Western dishes, and ingredients connected to Kawagoe. The breakfast focuses on nutritional balance and food prepared with careful attention to additives.
Later in the day, you can return to the lounge for the complimentary Welcome Bar. Soft drinks are available daily from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, while alcoholic drinks are available daily from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Service times can change according to hotel operations.
Onsen and Wellness
Natural Hot Spring Akagi no Yu gives you separate shared indoor baths for men and women. The baths remain open from 3:00 PM until 9:00 AM the following morning, so you can soak after a late arrival or enjoy an early morning bath before breakfast.
The spring water comes from Akagi Nanroku no Yu. It is alkaline water that undergoes heating, circulation, and filtration before reaching the baths. The water is noted for skin benefits and relief from fatigue, joint pain, and nerve pain. You can stretch out in the larger bath after walking around Kawagoe and return to your room feeling refreshed.
Shampoo and body wash are available in the bathing area. You also have a private unit bath inside your room when you prefer to bathe alone.
Guests with Tattoos
You cannot use the shared natural hot spring baths if you have a tattoo, body paint, or similar markings. You can use the private unit bath inside your room instead.
Facilities
You have access to free Wi-Fi, a breakfast and lounge area, separate shared hot spring baths for men and women, coin-operated laundry machines, vending machines, an amenity and pillow corner, projector rooms, accessible accommodation, trouser presses beside the elevators on each floor, and a designated smoking corner outside the non-smoking building. Parking includes 15 spaces on the hotel grounds, available on a first-come basis, as well as additional spaces at nearby partner parking facilities.
Activities
Use your central Kawagoe location to explore one of Saitama’s best-known historic areas. You can walk through the Kurazukuri warehouse district, see the Toki no Kane bell tower, and browse the traditional confectionery shops along Kashiya Yokocho. The old streets, black-plastered storehouses, cafés, sweet potato treats, and craft shops make the area rewarding to explore on foot.
You can also visit Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine, discover temples and historic buildings around the former castle town, or follow one of Kawagoe’s recommended walking routes. Hon-Kawagoe Station gives you convenient rail connections when travelling onward toward Tokyo.
Additional Features
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM. You can pay locally by cash or credit card, while supported online payments include major credit cards and PayPay. The building has been fully non-smoking since February 2024. You can also leave your luggage at the front desk on your arrival day and, subject to same-day collection, after checking out.
