Overview

Tokyu Vacations Izukogen gives you the space and flexibility of a private apartment at the foot of Mount Omuro. Surrounded by the sea, mountains, hot springs, museums, and outdoor attractions of Izu Kogen, it works equally well for a family holiday, a trip with friends, a longer stay, or time away with your dog.

Spacious condominium-style rooms let you cook, dine, wash clothes, and relax according to your own schedule. There is no restaurant inside the property, so you are free to discover local dining spots or prepare meals using ingredients collected during the day.

A large hot spring bath adds the feeling of an onsen retreat, while dedicated dog-friendly accommodation and the special Izukyu railway room give you more ways to personalise your stay.

Accommodation

Rooms offer approximately 70㎡ of space and layouts ranging from 1LDK to 2LDK. Each one accommodates up to six people, making the property a comfortable choice for families, friends, and two households travelling together.

The Standard Room includes a living and dining area, kitchen, Western-style bedroom, Japanese-style room, private bathroom, and separate toilet. You have enough space to share meals and time together while still keeping separate sleeping areas.

Dog Family Rooms are located in a dedicated building with a separate entrance from the standard accommodation. The interiors use materials selected for easier cleaning and odour control, while useful dog features include leash hooks, food and water bowls, toilet sheets, paw towels, waste bags, deodorising products, and an outdoor paw-washing area. You can bring up to six dogs, with no size restriction, when you meet the property’s health and behaviour requirements.

Dog Family Garden Rooms add a private outdoor garden where your dog can spend time close to the room. These rooms are recommended for up to four people, although two extra beds can increase the capacity to six.

The Izukyu Room celebrates the Izu Kyuko railway with a detailed N-gauge model railway inspired by the local line. You can bring your own N-gauge trains and operate them on the room’s built-in layout, making this a memorable choice for railway enthusiasts and families.

Both non-smoking and smoking room categories may be available, so check the room description carefully when booking.

Dining

Tokyu Vacations Izukogen does not have a restaurant or meal service. Instead, every room includes a well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare breakfast, reheat takeaway dishes, or enjoy a full meal together.

Kitchen equipment includes a two-ring IH stove, refrigerator-freezer, oven microwave, rice cooker, toaster, electric kettle, grill pot, dishwasher, cookware, and tableware. You also have kitchen paper, food wrap, aluminium foil, washing-up supplies, and laundry detergent. Seasonings are not provided, so remember to bring or purchase anything needed for cooking.

A Nespresso coffee maker is available, with capsules sold separately. Nearby restaurants give you plenty of opportunities to discover the food of Izu Kogen when you prefer to dine out.

Onsen and wellness

The large hot spring bath offers an easy way to unwind after sightseeing, golf, hiking, or a day along the Izu coast. Wide windows bring the surrounding greenery into the bathing area, creating an open and restful setting.

From Sunday to Friday, the bath opens from 6:00 to 11:00 and from 14:00 to midnight. On Saturdays, it opens from 6:00 to 9:00 and from 15:00 to midnight.

The property does not offer a reservable private hot spring bath. Each apartment has its own private bathroom, giving you a convenient alternative when you prefer to bathe in your room.

Guests with tattoos

Tattoos are not accepted in the large public bath. You can use the private bathroom inside your apartment instead.

Facilities

Every room includes free Wi-Fi, two televisions, a Blu-ray player, air conditioning, a refrigerator-freezer, washer-dryer, vacuum cleaner, hairdryer, kitchen, private bathroom, and separate toilet. Towels, bath towels, bathmats, yukata, toothbrushes, razors, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are also provided.

Paid rental items include baby beds and humidifiers. Complimentary items available in limited numbers include children’s tableware, high chairs, children’s nightwear, an indoor wheelchair, and selected accessibility equipment.

The front desk can receive and arrange parcel deliveries. It operates from 7:00 to 22:00, and check-in begins at 15:00.

Free parking is available for one car per room and must be reserved in advance. The property does not offer a shuttle service, so arriving by car or taxi is the easiest option.

Activities

The position at the foot of Mount Omuro places you close to many of Izu Kogen’s best-known experiences. You can ride the Mount Omuro chairlift, walk through seasonal flower areas, explore local museums and galleries, play golf, or follow trails through the highland landscape.

The wider Izu area also offers the dramatic cliffs and walking paths of Jogasaki Coast, animal encounters at Izu Shaboten Zoo, local cafés, seafood restaurants, and scenic drives between the mountains and sea.

When you prefer a slower day, the spacious apartment makes staying in just as enjoyable. Cook together, watch a film, enjoy the model railway in the Izukyu Room, or spend an evening relaxing after a hot spring bath.
