Special Room with Open-Air Bath

Room with Tsuboniwa Garden

Japanese-Western Rooms

The ryokan uses artificial radium hot spring water, which offers similar effects to natural hot springs and helps ease tension from both body and mind.

The men’s and women’s baths switch daily, so if you stay overnight, you can try both. There’s also a family-friendly bath that you can reserve for private use. It’s ideal if you’re traveling with young children or need extra privacy. While not a hot spring or open-air bath, it offers comfort and convenience.

Guests with Tattoos

If you have tattoos, you cannot use the large communal baths unless your tattoos are completely covered. In that case, you may be allowed entry. You can always use the private family bath, which is available for a small fee and can be reserved.

You can also visit the nearby Mediterranean Village or the Shima Nature School by boat. A water taxi ride through Ago Bay’s pearl rafts offers both adventure and a scenic route to these local spots.

For panoramic views, drive 15 minutes to Yokoyama Observatory. From there, you can see over 60 islands scattered across the bay — a view praised by the Michelin Green Guide.
