Overview
Resort Hills Toyohama SORA no KAZE HOTEL places you in Osatsu, a coastal town in Toba known for its fishing culture, ama divers, and easy access to Chidorigahama Beach. From the hotel, you can walk to the beach in just over a minute, then return to a hilltop setting where the sea, sky, and quiet town views shape the mood of your stay.
This is a strong choice when you want seafood, hot spring bathing, ocean views, and a stay that feels relaxed but full of local character. You can spend the day exploring Toba, visit nearby Ishigami-san, or simply enjoy the hotel’s baths, lounge spaces, and coastal atmosphere.
Accommodation
You can choose from Japanese-style rooms, Western-style rooms, barrier-free rooms, rooms with open-air baths, and high-floor outdoor living rooms with wide sea views. All rooms look toward the sea from different angles, and all rooms are non-smoking with Wi-Fi.
For a more private stay, choose a room with an open-air bath. Many of these rooms let you enjoy hot spring water in your own space, while the high-floor outdoor living rooms add extra comfort with features such as semi-open-air hot spring baths, spacious layouts, mini kitchens, smart TVs, and, in some rooms, a private sauna.
You can keep things simple with a classic Japanese room or make the stay feel more special with a larger room designed for couples, families, or multi-generation travel. Some rooms also support wheelchair use, making the hotel easier to enjoy if you need more accessible space.
Dining
Dining is one of the main reasons to stay here. You enjoy kaiseki cuisine shaped by the seafood culture of Ise-Shima and Osatsu, a town known for ama divers and rich fishing grounds. Every plan includes a sashimi boat, giving your meal a generous and memorable start.
Dinner may include local highlights such as Ise lobster, abalone, sea bream, mackerel, Matsusaka beef, black wagyu, and the hotel’s signature herb-steamed sea bream. Higher-grade plans bring together Mie brand ingredients such as Ise lobster, abalone, and Matsusaka beef in one meal.
You can also enjoy local sake from Mie, including bottles selected to pair well with seafood. Each meal feels rooted in the area, so you do more than eat dinner — you taste the fishing town around you.
Onsen and Wellness
The hotel uses Syaguji Onsen, a smooth pH 9.3 bicarbonate spring connected to the same hot spring region as Sakakibara Onsen. The water has a soft feel on the skin and is known as a “beauty hot spring,” making each bath feel soothing after a beach walk, sightseeing day, or long drive.
You can bathe in the large public bath, open-air bath, rooms with hot spring open-air baths, and two reservable private open-air baths: Tenku no Yu and Isobue no Yu. Tenku no Yu sits on the fourth floor with views of the coastline and town, while Isobue no Yu offers a more intimate bath close to the sea. Each private bath can be used for 40 minutes, with same-day reservations taken after check-in.
The large bath area also includes a small sauna, jacuzzi, massage chairs, and bath amenities. Bathing hours are 15:00–23:30 and 6:00–9:30, so you can enjoy both evening and morning soaks.
Guests with Tattoos
If you have tattoos, the easiest choice is to book a room with a private bath or reserve one of the private open-air baths after check-in. This gives you a more private way to enjoy the hot spring without worrying about shared-bath etiquette.
For use of the large public bath, confirm the current bath-use policy before your stay so you know exactly what to expect.

Activities
You can walk to Chidorigahama Beach in just over a minute. The beach stretches for about 500 meters and is known as one of Toba’s scenic coastal spots, with clear water and a wide sandy shoreline. In summer, you can swim, spend time by the water, and return to the hotel for a shower before going back inside.
Nearby, you can visit Ishigami-san, a shrine connected to the ama divers and known for granting one wish to women. It is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. You can also visit an ama hut experience, where active ama divers prepare shellfish and share stories about life by the sea.
For wider sightseeing, Toba Aquarium and Mikimoto Pearl Island are about 25 minutes away by car, Shima Spain Village is about 15 minutes away, and Ise Jingu can be reached in about 40 to 45 minutes by car.
