Overview

Perched on a hillside overlooking Mikawa Bay, Wano Resort Hazu surrounds you with panoramic ocean views and a calm seaside atmosphere. This Japanese-style resort invites you to relax in spacious rooms, enjoy premium Hazu Wagyu beef, and soak in alkaline “beauty spring” hot baths—all in a peaceful, all-ages friendly setting.

Accommodation

Every room features an ocean view and natural light-filled atmosphere. Here are your options:

  • Ocean View Rooms: Cozy Japanese-style spaces ideal for up to six guests. You can step onto a private terrace and enjoy the bay’s changing colors day and night.
  • Rotenburo Rooms (3 total): These rooms include a terrace with an outdoor bath overlooking the sea. You can fill the tub yourself and soak while you watch the water.
  • Large Rooms: Located in the west wing, these spacious rooms accommodate up to nine guests—perfect for families or groups.
  • Pet-Friendly Rooms: Two rooms allow dogs, complete with pet cages and air purifiers. These rooms can also be arranged for in-room dining if reserved in advance.

All rooms are non-smoking and feature breathable Breath-Air mattresses, private bathrooms, air conditioning, TV, fridge, robes, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, towels, and more. Outdoor bath rooms also include a hairdryer.

Dining

Wano Resort Hazu celebrates local cuisine with creative kaiseki-style meals centered on:

  • Hazu Wagyu Beef: A whole head of premium local beef served to your table—including steak, sukiyaki, and shabu-shabu preparations.
  • Fresh Seafood: Directly sourced from the local market, with dishes like abalone and seasonal fish sashimi.
  • Mikawagori Udon: A local favorite that has won top honors in national udon competitions. You can add slices of Wagyu for extra flavor.

Flexible Dining: You can choose to enjoy dinner in the main dining hall on the 7th floor or arrange in-room dining in west wing rooms (advanced notice required).

Breakfast includes both Japanese set meals and a light buffet to energize your day.

Onsen and Wellness

Relax in Haru’s alkaline “beauty spring” water—gentle on the skin and known to help with fatigue, circulation, and rheumatic conditions.

  • Open-Air Bath “Bihansen”: Curved to face the sea, this bath on the 1st floor lets you soak while feeling the ocean breeze. Open mid-afternoon to late evening and early morning (with occasional maintenance closures).
  • Panorama Spa: A spacious indoor bath on the 7th floor with wide windows framing views of Mikawa Bay and the distant mountains.
  • Private Rotenburo Bath: Reserved ahead, these outdoor baths allow you to soak in privacy for about 45 minutes per session.
  • Runner & Cyclist Package: You can use the spa facilities even without staying overnight. The package includes towel set and locker access.

Upon exiting the baths, a cozy lounge area offers seating and views of the bay—a perfect spot to relax and hydrate.

Guests with Tattoos

If you have tattoos, you may use the private rotenburo baths. Please avoid using public baths if your tattoos are visible.
