Onsen and Wellness

One of the best parts of staying here is the chance to soak in the resort’s baths. Urabandai Lake Resort offers onsen that pull warm water from natural sources.

The open-air bath, Hibarami no Yu, sits on the 1st floor of the Main Building and overlooks Lake Hibara. From the bath, you can take in changing sky colors, lake views, and seasonal scenery. The natural free-flowing hot spring water contains skin-friendly qualities and has become popular as an “onsen for beautiful skin.”

The indoor bath, Aurora no Yu, features a spacious bathtub with large windows facing groves of trees and Lake Hibara. You can unwind while surrounded by nature and soak in the same beautifying hot spring water. A steam sauna is also available.

Some bathtubs use free-flowing hot spring water, while the large indoor bathtub uses circulation and filtration to protect hot spring resources and maintain hygiene. Water may be added when the temperature feels too hot, and heating helps keep the bath suitable for bathing. Chlorinated chemicals are used for hygiene control.

There are steam saunas available too.
