Overview

Nestled in a verdant mountain valley, Eirakukan invites you to unwind with warm hospitality, nourishing cuisine, and soothing hot spring waters. Here, the surrounding mountains and forests cradle you, and the rushing stream below sets a calming tempo for your stay. Whether you’re traveling solo, with family, or in a group, this inn welcomes you with a friendly smile and an atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home.

A recent renovation introduced a beautifully modern dining space and new private open-air bathrooms, blending comfort with authenticity. From morning to night, this is a place to pause, reset, and savor every moment.

Onsen

Eirakukan features two natural hot spring sources, each with gentle, silky waters that are known as “beauty baths” for their softening effect on skin. Both sources are perfectly blended and provided by gravity flow—pure and unfiltered.

Snow-Eta no Yu (7th Floor Scenic Bath)
The main attraction is this rooftop bath with an indoor bath, a small open-air wood tub, and a mini sauna. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow sweeping views of forested slopes and shifting seasons—take in dawn light or moonlit treetops as you soak.

Yujiro no Yu (1st Floor Playful Bath)
Located on the ground floor, this smaller bath is ideal for quieter moments. It alternates between being open to men and women, and is lighter and more intimate—perfect for early mornings or dusk.

Both baths draw on two sources: Eiraku-senkaku (a 36.8 °C, pH 9.3 source with alkaline softness) and a municipal blend (48.4 °C, pH 8.4) known for easing joint pain and fatigue. Together they promote warmth, skin smoothness, and mental clarity. During renovations (May–September 2025), Snow-Eta no Yu will refresh its spaces and reopen with even more refined amenities. In the meantime, patrons are invited to enjoy both current baths daily.

Cuisine

Eirakukan crafts each dish using fresh, seasonal ingredients from Fukushima’s abundant landscapes. Every offering reflects heartfelt care and regional pride.

Dinner Options:

  • In-Room Dining: Enjoy a full kaiseki-style dinner with seafood from the nearby sea, local Fukushima beef, and vegetables. Each course arrives freshly prepared for a warm, relaxed dining experience in your room.
  • New Dining Room (since June 2024): A stylish communal space where you savor multi-course meals served one dish at a time, right after they’re prepared.
  • Private Dining Rooms: Ideal for groups, these intimate spaces host seasonal banquets in traditional style.

Breakfast Offerings:
Choose between room delivery or a laid-back dining-room meal. Either way, you’ll enjoy Fukushima-grown rice served with nourishing natto, miso soup, local eggs, and refreshing smoothies. It’s a balanced, homely foundation for your day’s adventures.
