Overview
Atami Season Hotel gives you a spacious hot spring stay in central Atami, close to the station, the sea, local sightseeing, and the lively feel of this classic onsen town. The hotel has an Asian resort-inspired atmosphere, with calm brown and beige interiors, large rooms, hot spring baths, and a relaxed dining style that works well for couples, families, and group trips.
The upper-floor rooms with balcony open-air baths add a more private way to enjoy Atami Onsen. You can choose a room with extra space, soak in hot spring water drawn from the Atami source, and spend your stay between the baths, the restaurant, the seasonal pool, karaoke, and nearby Atami sights. This is a good choice when you want more room than a standard city hotel and easy access to both hot springs and sightseeing.
Accommodation
Atami Season Hotel offers maisonette rooms, rooms with open-air baths, Japanese-Western rooms, Western-style rooms, Japanese-style rooms, and a connecting room for families or groups. The room range is generous, with many layouts offering more space than a typical hotel stay in Atami.
The maisonette rooms are the largest option, with two floors and a balcony equipped with either a jacuzzi or an open-air bath. These rooms suit you well when you want extra space and a more resort-like feeling. The upper-floor rooms with open-air baths include a balcony bath where you can enjoy Atami hot spring water while feeling the outside air.
The Japanese-Western rooms combine tatami space with beds, giving you both a Japanese sitting area and easier bed-style sleeping. The Western-style rooms include twin and double layouts with open floor space, while the Japanese-style rooms give you tatami flooring and a more classic Atami stay. The connecting room links two triple-bed rooms through an inside door, making it useful when you travel with family or friends, though this room type does not have a view.
Rooms include free Wi-Fi, a TV, refrigerator, safe, bath, washlet toilet, hair dryer, kettle, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and roomwear. Toothbrushes, razors, combs, and shower caps are available near the front desk, so you can take only what you need.
Dining
Dining at Atami Season Hotel centers on a creative Western-style set meal served with a half buffet. Dinner is served at Restaurant CELEVEIL on the fourth floor, where you can enjoy the main meal together with a buffet that includes Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes. Seasonal gourmet fairs also appear through the year, adding limited-time dishes to the meal.
The creative Western meal changes with the season and is presented in a small-box style, with careful color, balance, and portioning. The half buffet gives you more freedom, so the meal works well if you want both a prepared dinner and the ease of choosing extra dishes yourself. Dinner also includes soft drinks and alcoholic drinks such as draft beer, sake, sours, shochu, and wine.
Additional dishes can be arranged when available, including simmered golden-eye snapper, abalone with butter, and Shizuoka Wagyu steak. Breakfast is served as a Japanese and Western buffet in the same restaurant, with warm dishes, lighter breakfast items, and 100% fruit juice.
Onsen and Wellness
The hot spring area is on the second floor and includes the large marble-style public bath and the kiln bath, a low-temperature sauna. The large public bath uses Atami hot spring water and is open from early morning until late morning, then again from the afternoon until midnight.
The spring quality is simple hot spring water and sodium-calcium chloride spring water with a weak alkaline character. The water is associated with support for frozen shoulder, joint stiffness, joint pain, neuralgia, muscle pain, bruises, chronic digestive concerns, sprains, motor paralysis, cold sensitivity, fatigue recovery, and general health promotion.
The kiln bath is a low-temperature sauna where you lie down and warm your body slowly. It operates on a men’s and women’s rotation system depending on the month, with morning and afternoon use switching by gender. After sweating gently, you can cool down with the body shower or water bath.
Selected rooms also include open-air baths or jacuzzi-style balcony baths, giving you a more private bathing experience without using the shared bath area.
Guests with Tattoos
Atami Season Hotel has shared public hot spring baths and a low-temperature kiln bath. Tattoos are not permitted in the shared bathing areas. If you have tattoos, choose a room with a private open-air bath or balcony bath for a private bathing experience.
