The Higashikan building offers 31 rooms at a more affordable price point, with 10-tatami rooms that include bath and toilet, and 12-tatami rooms with toilet only.
Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and check-in begins at 15:00, with check-out by 11:00. Pets are not permitted at the hotel.
Dining
Dining at Hotel Yunishigawa is casual, generous, and easy to enjoy. Dinner is served as a Japanese, Western, and Chinese buffet with around 50 dishes, including meat, fish, seafood, vegetables, and warm comfort dishes. Alcoholic drinks and soft drinks are also included during dinner, so you can enjoy your meal without worrying about extra drink charges.

Meals are served at Restaurant Yumehanagoromo on the 1st floor of the Wafukan building. Dinner time is 90 minutes, with the exact start time depending on hotel occupancy on the day. Optional extra dishes may also be available, such as simmered red bream, Tochigi Wagyu steak, yuba and Tochigi Wagyu shabu-shabu, butter-grilled abalone, and Yashio trout with tuna sashimi.
Onsen and Wellness
The hot spring is one of the hotel’s main attractions. Hotel Yunishigawa uses an alkaline simple hot spring with a pH of 9.2, described by the official site as “beauty skin water.” The water has a smooth feel and is listed for benefits such as health promotion, recovery from illness, beautiful skin, lower back pain, stiff shoulders, cold sensitivity, joint pain, nerve pain, muscle pain, cuts, burns, and chronic skin concerns.
The large indoor baths and open-air baths are located on the basement level of the Wafukan building. Both are open from 15:00 to 24:00 and again from 5:00 to 10:00, making it easy to bathe after arrival, before dinner, late in the evening, or early in the morning.
For a more private bathing experience, the hotel also offers a private open-air bath with mountain views. It is available from 15:00 to 23:30 and from 6:00 to 9:50. Reservations open at the front desk from 12:50 on the day of use, on a first-come, first-served basis. Each group can use it once for 30 minutes, and there is no washing area inside the private open-air bath.
Guests with Tattoos
People with tattoos or body ink are not permitted to use the bathing facilities. You might be able to use the private baths.
