Overview

Maholova Minds Miura places you above the Miura coast, with every room looking east across Tokyo Bay towards the Boso Peninsula. Wake early and you can watch the sun rise over the water from your room. When the air is clear, Mount Fuji may also appear from the west-facing corridor side of the building.

You can reach Miura-Kaigan Station from Shinagawa in around one hour on the Keikyu Line. The hotel is approximately seven minutes away on foot, and a shuttle also runs between the station and the entrance.

Large ocean-facing rooms, natural hot spring baths, a swimsuit-friendly Water Park, and meals built around produce from the Miura Peninsula give you plenty to enjoy without leaving the hotel. You can spend your stay bathing, swimming, eating Misaki tuna, or relaxing beside the windows with the coastline below.

Accommodation

Every room faces Tokyo Bay, and even the standard categories begin at 64 square metres. General rooms include Japanese, Western, and Japanese-Western layouts, with configurations ranging from one to three bedrooms. Some include tatami areas where you can sit together during the day and prepare futon bedding at night. Futon setup is self-service.

The Royal Suites sit on the fourteenth floor and measure approximately 145 to 211 square metres. You can choose a Japanese or Western layout, with separate living and sleeping areas and a bathroom overlooking the sea. Most Royal Suites have an ocean-view jacuzzi, while the Japanese-style version has a cypress bath instead.

The Sky Suites sit on the eleventh floor and measure approximately 80 square metres. A double-height living area and large windows create a bright space with wide sea and sky views. Each suite has two single beds, two queen beds, a private bathroom, and a spacious Western-style layout.

You can also make the room itself part of your holiday by choosing a themed category. Baby Rooms provide equipment and layouts for stays with children aged two and under, while the Kids Room is designed for children from three years old to preschool age. The Train and Family Room includes railway-inspired features, and the Tiara Room creates a princess-style setting.

Other choices include the Alice Room, Coca-Cola Room, SAKURA Room with an indoor garden theme, Japanese Retro Room, Asian Resort Room, and Phiten Room. Character options include Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma, Kiiroitori, and Chairoikoguma rooms, each with its own furniture, decoration, and photo areas. These rooms are limited, and some have age conditions.

Every room is non-smoking and has its own bathroom, toilet, refrigerator, air conditioning, towels, toiletries, hairdryer, indoor clothing, and free Wi-Fi. A 4K smart television lets you mirror a compatible phone or sign in to supported streaming services with your own account.

Dining

The buffet brings the flavours of the Miura Peninsula together in an easy, lively format. At dinner, you can enjoy unlimited Misaki tuna sashimi alongside sushi, the hotel’s tuna ochazuke, seasonal seafood, meat dishes, salads, vegetables, desserts, and freshly prepared dishes. The selection changes with the season, with more than 80 items normally included in the line-up.

Breakfast combines Japanese and Western choices. One of the highlights is the small rice balls prepared in front of you, allowing you to enjoy them freshly made. Breads, fruit, salads, warm dishes, rice, soup, and other morning favourites complete the buffet.

For a slower meal, choose a plan with Japanese kaiseki. The kitchen uses seafood and mountain produce from Miura and the surrounding region to create courses that follow the season. Kaiseki meals take place in Restaurant Hanakazura or a banquet dining area, depending on the date.

Restaurant Marigold offers a casual Western-inspired setting, while Hanakazura has a Japanese atmosphere. Restaurant Yamato opens during selected periods to provide another buffet venue.

Lunch is available on selected days and includes dishes inspired by Misaki tuna and local seafood. Rita Cafe serves coffee, gelato, light meals, and seasonal sweets during the day. In the evening, the lighting softens and the café becomes a bar, with live sport shown on a large screen during scheduled broadcasts.

Onsen and Wellness

Maholova Minds Miura draws its natural hot spring water from approximately 1,500 metres below the Miura Peninsula. The source is a strong sodium-chloride spring with mildly alkaline, hypertonic water. It has a pH of 7.9 and emerges at 36.2°C.

The high salt content helps the water hold warmth against your skin after bathing. The spring is also associated with relief from fatigue, sensitivity to cold, muscle discomfort, joint discomfort, and skin dryness.

The third-floor bathing area includes a spacious indoor bath and an open-air bath. Men use this area in the morning from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., while women use it from 11:00 a.m. until midnight. The outdoor section lets you soak in the fresh coastal air.

The fourth-floor bathing area has a large indoor bath. Women use this bath from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by men from 11:00 a.m. until midnight. Final entry is normally 30 minutes before closing. By staying overnight, you have the opportunity to experience both bathing areas during their scheduled periods.

The Water Park gives you another way to enjoy the natural spring while wearing a swimsuit. The Kua Park area includes a bubble bath, waterfall bath, jacuzzi, exercise bath, flowing-water bath, warming room, mist room, cool room, reflexology walking path, and a bedrock area with four types of therapeutic stone.

You can also use the indoor 25-metre heated pool for swimming and water walking. A shallow pool provides a place for children under three, while the floating Water Athletic course adds a more active experience for those who meet its height requirements. Access to the Water Park depends on the stay package you select.

Guests with Tattoos

You cannot use the shared hot spring baths or the Water Park if you have tattoos. Temporary tattoo stickers are also not permitted in the Water Park. You can use the private bathroom in your room instead.

Facilities

Maholova Minds Miura includes natural hot spring baths, the indoor Water Park, a heated swimming pool, buffet and kaiseki dining venues, Rita Cafe, a souvenir shop, drink vending machines, and a coin laundry. Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and shared areas.

The souvenir shop carries Miura products, hotel-branded items, sweets, drinks, and foods connected with the region. Banquet rooms, meeting rooms, and event spaces support training stays, celebrations, reunions, and larger gatherings.

Parking is available across three areas, and the shuttle connects the hotel with Miura-Kaigan Station. All rooms are non-smoking, while an enclosed smoking room is provided inside the building.

Activities

You can spend a full day inside the hotel, moving between the Water Park, heated pool, natural hot spring baths, restaurants, café, and character-themed spaces. Hotel events and cultural programmes also take place on selected dates, so the experience may change with the season.

A small branch of Mitsumine Shrine stands behind the hotel. You can visit it during a quiet walk around the grounds before returning to the coast.

Miura Beach is close enough for a seaside walk, while Misaki Port gives you the chance to explore seafood restaurants, shops, and a town closely connected with tuna fishing. Jogashima offers rocky coastal scenery, walking routes, and ocean views at the southern end of the peninsula.

You can also visit Koajiro Forest, explore Yokosuka, or take a day trip to Kamakura and the Shonan coast. During late winter, the Miura-Kaigan Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival brings early pink blossoms to the area around the station.

Additional Features

Maholova Minds Miura suits you when you want more room than a typical city hotel while remaining within easy reach of Tokyo. You can stay on your own, as a couple, with children, or with a larger group, with selected rooms accommodating everyone in the same space.

Baby and child equipment can be requested in advance, subject to availability. Day-use options are also available for the hot spring baths, Water Park, and selected dining services.

With ocean views from every room, generous layouts, themed accommodation, natural hot spring water, and food connected with Miura, the hotel gives you a coastal break that can be active, restful, or a balance of both.
