Overview
Rakuten STAY VILLA Nikko gives you an entire private villa in the forested Tokorono area of Nikko. The property has 21 standalone villas, each measuring more than 100㎡ and designed for families, groups, couples, and longer stays.
Privacy shapes the experience. Your villa includes its own natural hot spring bath, sauna, outdoor cooling deck, kitchen, living and dining area, and terrace. There is no shared bath, restaurant timetable, or crowded lobby, so you can organise each day around your own plans.
Nikko Station and Nikko Toshogu Shrine are both around 5 minutes away by car. This location lets you explore the World Heritage area, waterfalls, mountain roads, and local attractions before returning to a spacious villa where you can cook, bathe, and relax together.

The accessible villa measures approximately 102㎡ and accommodates up to six people. Two double beds, two semi-double beds, a universal toilet, and a single-storey layout support easier movement throughout the villa.
Dining
You can choose a room-only plan and prepare your own meals in the private kitchen, or book a plan that includes breakfast or dinner ingredients.
Dinner choices highlight Tochigi produce. Options may include Kirifuri Highland pork and yuba shabu-shabu, Tochigi Wagyu sukiyaki, a teppanyaki set with Tochigi Wagyu, Nikko HIMITSU pork, Tochigi chicken and sashimi yuba, or a Nikko HIMITSU pork curry set.
Breakfast choices include roast beef with two types of bread or a Japanese set built around grilled black cod, tamagoyaki, rice, and local pickles.
Meals are delivered for you to prepare inside the villa. Some dishes require simple steps such as cooking rice, heating food in the microwave, or grilling ingredients on the provided hot plate. This lets you enjoy local food without following restaurant opening hours.
The kitchen includes an IH stove, oven microwave, rice cooker, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, pots, frying pan, cooking tools, tableware, wine glasses, and children’s dishes. Seasonings are not provided, so bring your preferred oils, salt, sauces, and spices when preparing your own meals.
Onsen and wellness
Every villa has a spacious private bath supplied with natural hot spring water. You can soak with your partner, family, or travel companions at any time without leaving the villa or sharing the space with anyone else.
Each villa also includes a private sauna and outdoor cooling deck. You can move from the sauna to a cold-water bath in selected villa types, then rest outside in the Nikko air. Building D offers a jet bath instead of a cold-water bath.
The entire bathing routine remains private. You choose when to soak, how long to stay, and whether to repeat the sauna and cooling cycle later in the day.
Guests with tattoos
Tattoos are accepted in your private natural hot spring bath and sauna. There are no shared bathing facilities, so you can enjoy the full bathing experience inside your villa without covering your tattoos.
Facilities
Each villa includes free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, floor heating, a projector, television, air purifier, washer-dryer, dishwasher, kitchen, washlet toilet, terrace, and private outdoor space. A coffee machine, refrigerator, oven microwave, rice cooker, hot plate, hairdryer, towels, toiletries, and cooking equipment are also provided.
Check-in and check-out are completed on a tablet inside the villa. You receive an entry code in advance and use the smart lock to enter, allowing you to arrive without visiting a traditional front desk. A security company provides 24-hour emergency support.
Selected villas welcome up to two dogs of any size. These villas include a private dog run, foot-washing space, food bowls, pet sheets, waste bags, a portable playpen, and a pet bed.
The property has 36 parking spaces, including four paid EV charging points. Parking can be used from check-in until the 10:00 departure time and is not available after check-out.
