Overview
Route Inn Grantia Hanyu Spa Resort is a hotel and hot spring spa resort in Hanyu, Saitama. You stay about three minutes on foot from Hanyu Station’s west exit, with easy access by train, car, and the Tohoku Expressway. The property works well when you want a practical hotel stay with a full bathing facility attached.
The main highlight is Super Kenko Land Hananoyu, the natural hot spring facility connected to the hotel. You can move from your room to the baths, restaurant, relaxation spaces, manga corner, karaoke, and other in-house facilities without leaving the property. This makes the stay easy after travel, work, or a day out in Saitama.
Accommodation
You can choose from single, double, twin, and Japanese-style rooms. Some Western-style rooms include a unit bath, while others have a toilet only and are designed for you to use the large spa facility instead. The Japanese-style rooms also have a toilet but no in-room bath, and you set up your own futon bedding when you are ready to sleep.
The single rooms use a 140 cm bed, the double rooms use a 160 cm bed, and the twin rooms use two 120 cm beds. If you prefer a more traditional stay, the Japanese-style rooms give you a tatami space for relaxing with more floor room.
Your room includes Wi-Fi, a humidifying air purifier, television, refrigerator, washlet toilet, roomwear, tea, towels, and basic bath items. WOWOW is available free in all rooms, and VOD room theater is available for an extra charge.
Dining
Breakfast is served at Restaurant Hanachaya from 6:30 to 9:00. You can enjoy a buffet-style breakfast with warm Japanese and Western dishes, including freshly baked bread such as croissants and roll Danish pastries. When you book through the official website, breakfast is included as an official reservation benefit.
Restaurant Hanachaya also serves lunch and dinner from 11:00 to 21:00, with last order at 20:45. The menu includes monthly dishes, evening meals, light dishes, and snacks, so you can eat casually inside the hotel when you do not want to go out.
For a livelier evening, Maguroya Hananoyume serves fresh seafood, drinks, and seasonal dishes. It is open in the evening on weekdays and from lunchtime on weekends and public holidays. You can enjoy sashimi, tuna dishes, small plates, drinks, and banquet-style meals in a relaxed seafood dining setting.
Onsen and Wellness
The attached hot spring facility, Hananoyu, uses Hanyu Onsen and offers source-flowing natural hot spring bathing. You can enjoy indoor baths, open-air baths, saunas, bedrock bathing, a private reservable bath, relaxation treatments, exfoliation treatments, and a relaxation room.
Inside, you can use pressure baths, a cold-water bath, and spacious washing areas. Outside, the open-air area includes lying-down baths, reclining baths, active stone baths, seated baths, and jar baths. The mix of bath styles lets you move between deeper soaking, light resting, cooling down, and sauna time.
The sauna area includes a high-temperature sauna and a mist sauna. The bedrock bath uses far-infrared heat from warm stone beds and includes a women-only area. Bedrock bathing is available from 10:00 to 23:30, with final reception at 22:30.
The private reservable bath can be booked by time and is useful when you want a more private soak. For overnight stays, Hananoyu is generally available from 15:00 to 24:00 and again from 6:00 to 10:00.
