The property just completed its second phase of renovation in May 2024, unveiling new rooms with outdoor baths and private saunas. Located in Minakami’s Moonlit Field (Tsukiyonono), it blends history, nature, and heartfelt hospitality.

Tatsumikan offers 18 Japanese-style room types across three wings (Tōryūkan, Shōryūkan, Nanryūkan), plus deluxe open-air bath rooms. Key room categories include:

Shōryūkan & Nanryūkan Japanese Rooms (10 or 8 tatami) All rooms include toothbrush, towels, yukata, soap, air purifiers/dehumidifiers in Tōryūkan, and free Wi‑Fi. Private-sauna rooms (111/211/311) are adults only; children under elementary age are not permitted in some rooms.

Tatsumikan’s culinary style is rustic, charcoal-fire grilling that traces its roots to bushido legends. Enjoy the signature irori kensan-yaki, local Akagi beef, and gently steamed dishes using onsen water. You can also request private dining rooms, and breakfast showcases seasonal local flavors—often illustrated with views of Mount Tanigawa.
