Overview
Yamanoha Ryokan sits at the entrance to Kurobe Gorge in Unazuki, Toyama. With rivers, mountains, and the sea surrounding you, this ryokan offers incredible views and deep relaxation throughout the year. Whether you visit in spring for cherry blossoms, summer for mountain hikes, fall for vibrant leaves, or winter for snowy silence, Yamanoha lets you experience nature’s transitions from every angle.
The ryokan’s open-air baths overlook the Kurobe Gorge and the iconic red Yamabiko Bridge. You can also walk to the Kurobe Gorge trolley train station nearby, making this an ideal spot for both relaxation and exploration.

Standard Twin Room: A compact Western-style room perfect for couples.
Standard Japanese Room: Traditional in design, this room suits small groups or couples looking for a simple, restful space.
Dining
Yamanoha serves fresh, seasonal cuisine from both the sea and mountains of Toyama. You can dine at Seeds, the ryokan’s spacious buffet restaurant, where chefs prepare food live in front of you.
Enjoy dishes like:
- Fresh sushi made on the spot
- Local specialties like Toyama black ramen and masuzushi (trout sushi)
- Toyama pork grilled to perfection
- Rotating seasonal items, such as grilled sweetfish or shabu shabu in summer
The dining space also features a large cylindrical aquarium filled with fish from the Sea of Japan. You can pair your meal with Toyama’s local sake or finish with sweets like pudding and seasonal fruits.
Please note that the ryokan does not accommodate food allergies or provide allergen-specific labeling. You may bring your own meals if needed, but make sure to inform the staff in advance.

- A dry sauna for a deeper relaxation
All baths alternate between men and women depending on the time of day. You’ll find all basic toiletries on site, but you’ll need to bring your towels from your room.
