Overview
Onsen Ryokan Yuen is located in Sapporo and was created with the concept “origin” which is the translation of the name. The idea behind it is that you still have the customary ryokan experience but with a modern fusion and twist. Everything screams relaxing and zen the moment you enter Yuen.
Yuen is a simple yet effective ryokan that focuses on stunning aesthetics through minimal spaces.
Accommodation
Onsen Ryokan Yuen aims to redefine the concept of a ryokan. The rooms are very much in a modern Japanese style. Imagine stepping into a Japandi space with traditional elements such as washi screen doors and wooden platforms.
Some rooms provide floor to ceiling windows to observe the gorgeous parks of Sapporo from above.
Dining
KAKATOJO SAPPORO, the onsite restaurant, has a menu created to celebrate the seasonal and regional diversity of Hokkaido. The head chef selects the finest ingredients to create dishes that can be savored in the unique style of Genshi-yaki, or charcoal-grilled cuisine. The restaurant offers an exclusive breakfast featuring Hitsumabushi of hokke fish.
Onsen & Wellness
The onsen at Yuen Sapporo is sourced from Karurusu hot spring in Noboribetsu. Enjoy the indoor and the open air baths crafted from Sapporo stone. There is also a sauna onsite.
Guests with tattoos
If you have tattoos, you are welcome to enjoy the onsen, if your tattoos are covered with stickers. The ryokan offers tattoo-covering stickers at the reception for a small fee.
