Overview

Kasho Gyoen is a stunning ryokan located within the Shikotsu-Toya National Park. Rooms here are surrounded by ancient forest, and the concept of this ryokan is to blend seamlessly with the surrounding nature.

Kasho Gyoen looks gorgeous all year around, and it’s especially stunning in the winter when it’s surrounded by beautiful snow.

Accommodation

Kasho Gyoen has 23 Japanese suite rooms, each featuring a forest view open air onsen bath that draws directly from the Usubetsu hot spring.

The rooms are designed with natural materials like oak and ash wood, and Sapporo soft stone.

Dining

Kasho Gyoen wants to appeal to all food enthusiasts, which is why they have Executive Chef A. Suzuki who focuses on creating dynamic and delicate Italian-inspired dishes.

The restaurant is called Okujozankei Italian and has a fusion menu featuring dishes like Shiraoi Wagyu beef, with with Italian concepts. You will be served your dinner in the dining area with stunning views over the pond.

Onsen & Wellness

The onsen at Kasho Gyoen draws its mineral rich water from Usubetsu, known as one of the three major beauty hot springs in Japan. You can enjoy the onsen in your own room overlooking the ancient forest.

For added relaxation, you are welcome to book spa treatments at the onsite Bi-you-te salon.
