Overview

Yumoto Niseko Prince Hotel Hirafutei places you right in the heart of Hokkaido’s beloved Niseko area, offering you a chance to unwind in the beauty of nature. Whether you’re here for the powder snow or the fresh summer air, the hotel’s natural hot spring baths and stunning views of Mount Yotei and Niseko Annupuri bring each season to life. With onsen-fed rooms and a peaceful mountain atmosphere, this ryokan invites you to relax in the warmth of mineral-rich waters after a day outdoors.

Accommodation

Choose from several room types designed for both comfort and relaxation. Many rooms come with their own private open-air bath filled with hot spring water, offering views of Mount Yotei or the surrounding highlands.

The Ryukyu Tatami Japanese-Western rooms feature twin semi-double beds and soft tatami flooring. These rooms blend Japanese style with practical comfort, and they opened in December 2013. If you prefer a more traditional space, opt for an 8-mat Japanese room with tatami floors and a highland view.

Each room includes a bath and toilet, flat-screen television, yukata, towels, toiletries, and an air-purifying humidifier that keeps the air fresh and your skin moisturized.

Dining

The hotel showcases Hokkaido’s seasonal bounty with dishes that highlight local ingredients. Enjoy wild game like Ezo deer and duck from Takikawa, prepared using traditional Japanese techniques. You’ll find dishes such as seared venison and duck simmered with yuzu pepper.

Meals change with the seasons. In spring, mountain vegetables like fuki, bamboo shoots, and warabi take center stage. Summer brings fresh tomato and mozzarella caprese and cold melon desserts. Fall features potatoes from Kutchan and fragrant wild mushrooms, while winter offers hearty hot pots and warming stews, perfect after a day on the slopes. Multi-night stays include a rotating dinner menu, so you always have something new to enjoy.

Onsen and Wellness

The onsen at Hirafutei flows from its own private source, rich in sodium chloride and bicarbonate with a high concentration of carbon dioxide. This helps promote circulation and deeply warms your body, relieving stress and fatigue. The water has a clear appearance and gentle texture that soothes your skin.

Both men’s and women’s large public baths are located on the third floor. The women’s bath faces Mount Yotei while the men’s bath offers views of the ski grounds on Mount Annupuri. Relax in an open-air bath as you watch the snow fall or the trees sway in the summer wind.

Baths include saunas, sleeping baths, cold water baths, and a variety of bathing areas, all equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and skincare products. The baths are open throughout the night, giving you time to unwind after your day.

Guests with Tattoos

If you have tattoos, you may be asked to avoid certain times if the baths are reserved by large groups. Please speak to the front desk to arrange private bathing options if needed.
