Overview
At Hotel Kurobe, you stay right beside some of the most iconic views in the Unazuki Onsen area—Yamabiko Bridge, the trolley railway, and the Unazuki Dam. The hotel sits at the gateway to the Kurobe Gorge, where the landscape changes dramatically with the seasons. From cherry blossoms in spring to vibrant leaves in autumn, nature puts on a show just outside your window.

Dining
Your meals highlight the rich flavors of Toyama Bay. Known as a natural fish preserve, the bay provides fresh seafood all year long, including white shrimp, firefly squid, and yellowtail. Dishes vary by season, and the chef hand-selects each ingredient.
Dinner options include elaborate multi-course kaiseki meals like the Matsu, Bamboo, and Plum Kaiseki. You can also enjoy white shrimp banquets or smaller meals designed for lighter appetites or children new to Japanese cuisine. For children, the kitchen prepares a kid’s plate with favorites like hamburger steak, chicken rice, and fried shrimp.
Start your day with a beautifully arranged breakfast served in individual bowls. The menu includes locally grown Koshihikari rice, handmade side dishes, and regional miso soup. If you prefer more privacy, the staff can arrange a private dining room upon request.
Onsen and Wellness
Soak in the soothing waters of Unazuki Onsen, one of Japan’s most transparent hot springs. The water flows from a source about seven kilometers upstream and arrives at the hotel rich in minerals, slightly alkaline, and perfect for your skin. It’s safe for babies and pregnant individuals, making it ideal for family use.
The bath area includes both indoor and open-air spaces. After your soak, enjoy refreshing Kurobe spring water or relax in the massage chair area. Children’s toys are also available near the bath to make family time more fun.
If you’re visiting for a day, you can use the public bath and other facilities when not closed for cleaning or maintenance.
Guests with Tattoos
Feel free to use the public or private baths. Tattoos are not restricted, but check in advance if you’d like a private soak.
Facilities
The lobby opens up to views of the surrounding gorge, creating a warm welcome upon arrival. In the morning, you can enjoy free coffee. You’ll find vending machines, an amenity corner, and a colored yukata station.
Toy Train Room: Open in the morning and evening, this playroom lets you or your children operate trains on toy railway sets. Express trains and popular bullet trains fill the space with excitement.
N Gauge Room: Designed for hobbyists, this model train room recreates the scenery of Kurobe and Unazuki. You can bring your own models or rent on-site. The all-night option lets you run trains in the dark to simulate nighttime cityscapes.
Mononofu Corner: A space dedicated to fans of the band Momoiro Clover Z, created by the hotel president himself. The corner features artwork, memorabilia, and interactive displays.
