Overview

Grandvrio Hotel Unazuki Onsen gives you a relaxed stay in Unazuki Onsen, the gateway to Kurobe Gorge in Toyama. The hotel looks toward the mountain scenery of the gorge area and gives you easy access to Unazuki Onsen Station, Kurobe Gorge Railway, footbaths, hot spring town walks, and seasonal nature.

This is a good choice when you want a comfortable onsen hotel with plenty inside the building. You can soak in the natural hot spring Morino-yu, enjoy buffet or kaiseki dining, choose a yukata, relax after bathing with drinks and ice treats, use the kids’ spaces, and make the hotel your base for the famous Torokko train through Kurobe Gorge.

Accommodation

Grandvrio Hotel Unazuki Onsen offers Western-style, Japanese-style, Japanese-modern, and deluxe Japanese-Western rooms. The room selection works well for couples, solo travel, families, and groups, with bed-based rooms and larger tatami layouts available.

Western-style rooms have two beds and suit you well when you prefer a simple hotel-style stay. Japanese-style rooms include options with beds, tatami space, and wide veranda areas, giving you more room to relax after bathing or sightseeing. Some Japanese rooms use beds for two people, with extra futon or air-mattress bedding prepared in the room for larger stays.

Japanese-modern rooms combine bed-style sleeping with a softer Japanese atmosphere. These rooms are useful when you want a cleaner, newer feel without giving up the calm of tatami-inspired design. The deluxe Japanese-Western room gives you the most space, with beds and sofa-bed options for a more spacious stay.

All rooms include Wi-Fi, humidifying air purifier, 50-inch Android TV, WOWOW viewing, refrigerator, kettle, tea set, towels, yukata, bath items, and basic amenities. Room baths and toilets differ by room type, so choose carefully if you need a separate bath and toilet layout.

Dining

Dining at Grandvrio Hotel Unazuki Onsen gives you two main dinner styles: buffet dining at Yamabiko or Japanese kaiseki at Shiki no Kura. This makes the hotel flexible, whether you want a casual meal with many choices or a slower seasonal Japanese dinner.

Yamabiko serves buffet meals on the third floor. Dinner includes live kitchen items such as tempura and teppanyaki, along with sushi, dim sum, shabu-shabu, seasonal dishes, and drinks. Seating is arranged in 90-minute time slots, making the meal easy to enjoy before a bath, karaoke, or a quiet evening in your room.

Shiki no Kura serves seasonal Japanese kaiseki in a calmer setting. This option suits you well when you want a more traditional meal built around Toyama’s seasonal ingredients. Children’s meals can also be arranged when needed, and drinks are ordered separately.

Breakfast is served at Yamabiko and includes Japanese and Western dishes, freshly baked bread, local ingredients, and warm morning items. In winter, breakfast hours may start a little later than usual.

Onsen and Wellness

Morino-yu is the hotel’s natural hot spring bath area. Unazuki Onsen is known for its clear alkaline simple spring, and the water has a gentle feel that makes it easy to enjoy more than one soak during your stay.

The shared bath area includes large indoor baths, open-air baths, sauna, cold bath, shampoo bar, and amenity bar. The large indoor baths are surrounded by sakura granite and have the same size for both men and women. The open-air bath lets you enjoy the seasons of Unazuki while bathing outside.

The hot spring source temperature is 87.8°C, so the bath water is adjusted with added water and managed by circulation filtration. The spring quality is alkaline simple hot spring water, associated with support for neuralgia, joint pain, chronic digestive concerns, fatigue recovery, and general health promotion.

Bathing hours are from 15:00 to 24:00 and from 5:00 to 10:00. After bathing, you can enjoy free soft drinks and ice treats during the evening service hours, and draft beer is also served during a shorter evening time.

Guests with Tattoos

Grandvrio Hotel Unazuki Onsen has shared public hot spring baths. Tattoos are not permitted in the shared bathing areas unless they are fully covered with a tattoo-cover sticker.
