Overview

Stay right in the heart of Osaka at Yamatoya Honten, a traditional Japanese ryokan just steps from the famous Dotonbori district. You’re perfectly positioned to explore Osaka’s top attractions, from Osaka Castle and Universal Studios Japan to the bustling shops and restaurants along Shinsaibashi and Nipponbashi. With easy access to Kyoto, Nara, and Mount Koya, this ryokan makes a great base for your Kansai adventure.

Accommodation

Choose from several Japanese-style rooms, all designed for comfort with soft futons and tatami flooring:

  • Standard Japanese Room: Compact and includes a private bath and toilet. Ideal if you prefer not to use the communal bath.
  • Upper Floor Room with Night View: Located on the 5th floor or higher, offering a sweeping view of Dotonbori’s neon lights. Includes private bath and toilet.
  • Room without Bathroom: The most affordable option. Includes a toilet, but you’ll use the large communal bath.
  • Family Room: Spacious tatami room, perfect for families or friends traveling together.

All rooms come with essentials like yukata robes, towels, soap, a refrigerator, and a safe.

Dining

Savor traditional Japanese cuisine crafted with seasonal ingredients:

  • Kobe Beef Kaiseki “Kiwami”: A premium multi-course meal featuring one of Japan’s top beef varieties.
  • Kobe Beef Kaiseki “Hana”: A more affordable way to enjoy Kobe beef, including steak, beef sushi, and sashimi.
  • “Maido” Menu: A local-style Kaiseki dinner with Kansai specialties like Akashi octopus and Osaka sushi.
  • Breakfast: Choose between Japanese or Western dishes. The ryokan serves homemade tofu and other light, healthy options.

Dinner is served in-room. If you plan to dine at the ryokan, check in by 7:30 p.m.
