Overview

Shinyu no Yado SAZANA gives you a coastal hot spring stay in Inatori, Higashiizu, with ocean views, Bali-inspired interiors, and a relaxed resort feeling. You stay close to the sea, where the sound of the waves and the warm colors of the Izu coastline set the tone for a slower escape. The hotel sits about 15 minutes on foot from Izu-Inatori Station, with a free shuttle available by advance reservation.

This is a good choice when you want a stay that feels casual, stylish, and close to the water. You can enjoy seafood kaiseki, soak in Inatori Onsen, reserve a private bath, spend time by the summer pool, or use the baths at the sister property just 30 seconds away on foot.

Accommodation

You can choose from 18 rooms, including Japanese-style rooms, Western-style rooms, ocean-view rooms, and rooms with private open-air hot spring baths. Almost all rooms look toward the sea, so you can relax with the rhythm of the waves close by. The interiors use warm wood and Asian-inspired design, giving your room a softer resort feel than a formal ryokan.

For a more private stay, choose a room with an open-air bath. Options include a top-floor ocean-view corner suite, a 10-tatami Japanese room with a hot spring open-air bath, high-floor semi-double twin rooms, and a high-floor king room. These rooms let you soak in Inatori Onsen without leaving your own space.

Dining

Dining at SAZANA brings you close to the flavors of Inatori. Dinner focuses on Japanese creative kaiseki using fresh seafood such as kinmedai, Ise lobster, abalone, and seasonal fish from the Izu area. You can choose from plans such as a lighter quality-focused kaiseki, a luxury seafood kaiseki, or a kinmedai-focused course.

Kinmedai is one of the highlights here. Depending on your plan, you may enjoy it simmered whole, served as sashimi, prepared as shabu-shabu, grilled with a honey glaze, or cooked in clay-pot rice. The luxury seafood kaiseki may also include abalone, Ise lobster cream-steamed dishes, seasonal sashimi, and the hotel’s signature simmered kinmedai.

Breakfast gives you a gentle start to the day with a Japanese set meal featuring dried horse mackerel, Tako-mai Koshihikari rice, and colorful small dishes. You can enjoy your meal in the hotel’s Asian-inspired restaurants, UBUDO and GEKKOU, with ocean views from UBUDO’s large windows.

Onsen and Wellness

You can enjoy Inatori Onsen in the large public bath, private observation bath, private open-air bath, and selected rooms with private open-air baths. The spring is a sodium-calcium chloride spring, known for keeping the body warm after bathing. Bathing hours are 15:00–24:00 and 7:00–9:00.

The large public bath, Kupukupu no Yu, lets you soak while listening to the sound of the Pacific. For more privacy, you can reserve Umi no Shirabe, a private observation bath with a spacious tub and universal-design access, or Yururuka, a private open-air bath with both indoor and outdoor bathing space facing the sea. Each private bath is available for 40 minutes for a fee and is reserved on a first-come basis.

You can also use the baths at the sister property, Inatori Tokai Hotel Yuen, just 30 seconds away on foot. There, you can enjoy open ocean views and 16 bath styles, giving you an easy hot spring tour without traveling outside the hotel area.

For extra relaxation, the Esthe Room Moonlight offers aroma treatments, hand-based facials, and body care while you stay in your yukata.

Guests with Tattoos

If you have tattoos, the most comfortable option is to book a room with a private open-air bath or reserve one of the private baths after arrival. These private spaces let you enjoy the hot spring with more ease and privacy.
