Overview
Dormy Inn EXPRESS Mikawa Anjo gives you an easy station-side stay with the pleasure of natural hot spring bathing. You stay just a 1-minute walk from the south exit of JR Mikawa-Anjo Station, with access to both the Tokaido Main Line and the Tokaido Shinkansen. Inside the hotel, the focus shifts from travel and work to rest, warmth, and recovery through Sanshu no Yu, the natural hot spring bath on the first floor.
This hotel suits you when you want smooth access, practical rooms, a proper soak, sauna time, and a strong breakfast before the next part of your journey. You can arrive by train, settle in quickly, enjoy the large bath, and wake up ready to move again without feeling rushed.
Accommodation
You can choose from 128 rooms, including single, semi-double, double, queen, twin, and Japanese-style rooms. The room range works well for solo stays, business travel, couples, and longer visits. Feather duvets and feather pillows are provided, and you can borrow low-rebound or buckwheat pillows from the front desk when you want a different sleep feel.
Room sizes range from compact 11.5-square-meter Japanese-style single rooms to larger 30-square-meter Japanese-style queen and twin rooms. Double rooms are about 15 square meters, semi-double rooms are about 12.6 to 15 square meters, queen rooms are about 15 square meters, and twin rooms are about 22.5 square meters. The Japanese-style queen and Japanese-style twin rooms give you more space and a softer Japanese atmosphere while still keeping the convenience of beds.
Each room includes free internet access, television, telephone, hair dryer, air conditioning, refrigerator, warm-water washing toilet, towels, in-house wear, slippers, tea, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toothbrush, razor, cotton swabs, hanger, deodorizing spray, electric kettle, memo paper, and pen. The rooms keep things simple and functional, so you can unpack, bathe, sleep well, and continue your trip with ease
Dining
Breakfast is served on the second floor and follows Dormy Inn’s Japanese and Western buffet style. You can enjoy small prepared dishes from Kobachi Yokocho, fresh egg dishes, and a local specialty made for this hotel: maguro-zuke shirasu don, a rice bowl with marinated tuna, whitebait, shiso, and a house-made marinade using local Mikawa mirin.
The breakfast style lets you choose light bites or build a fuller meal before travel or work. Hot dishes are served warm, cold dishes are kept chilled, and the small-bowl format makes it easy to taste more without feeling heavy in the morning. Breakfast is available for overnight stays only.
In the evening, you can enjoy Dormy Inn’s complimentary Yonaki Soba service in the second-floor restaurant. This light soy-sauce ramen is served nightly from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM, making it a comforting way to end the day after your bath.
Onsen and Wellness
Sanshu no Yu is the hotel’s gender-separated natural hot spring bath on the first floor. The bath area includes an indoor bath, a semi-open-air rock bath, a cold bath with chiller, and a high-temperature dry sauna with television. Bathing is available from 3:00 PM until 10:00 AM the next morning, while the sauna closes overnight from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM.
The hot spring water is a sodium-calcium chloride spring with isotonic, weakly alkaline, low-temperature qualities. Bathing indications include neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, frozen shoulder, sensitivity to cold, and fatigue recovery. The weakly alkaline water gives your bath time a smooth feel, helping you settle down after travel, work, or a long day outdoors.
The sauna and cold bath add a clear wellness rhythm to your stay. You can warm up in the dry sauna, cool down in the chilled water bath, then rest in the bathing area before soaking again. After bathing, you can enjoy complimentary ice cream in the evening and a lactic acid drink in the morning at the first-floor post-bath area.
Guests with Tattoos
If you have tattoos, you cannot use the communal hot spring bath facilities at Dormy Inn EXPRESS Mikawa Anjo.
Facilities
The hotel supports both short and extended stays with a front desk, lobby, vending machine corners on the first and second floors, a smoking booth on the first floor, and a manga corner in the first-floor rest area with about 2,000 books. The laundry corner sits inside the first-floor bath changing rooms, with washing machines and dryers in both the men’s and women’s areas. You can also use front desk services such as luggage storage before check-in and after check-out on the same day, paid delivery service, and helpful loan items including an iron and ironing board, trouser press, nail clippers, pillows, bottle opener, wine opener, sewing set, umbrella, phone charger, thermometer, extension cord, hangers, and hair iron.
Activities
Your main rhythm here is simple: arrive, soak, sauna, rest, eat, and sleep. After work or travel, you can spend time in Sanshu no Yu, cool down with the cold bath, relax in the post-bath area, read manga, enjoy complimentary Yonaki Soba at night, and return to the bath again before morning checkout.
Because the hotel sits next to JR Mikawa-Anjo Station, you can use it as a convenient base for train travel through the Mikawa area and onward along the Tokaido Shinkansen. The ease of access makes the stay feel smooth, especially when your schedule includes early departures, business appointments, or a stop between cities.
