Overview

Senami View Hotel invites you to relax with sweeping views of the Sea of Japan. Every room faces the ocean, giving you a front-row seat to the ever-changing sky and water—from golden sunrises to glowing sunsets. Located in Murakami, a town famous for salmon and fresh seafood, this ryokan blends the best of mountain, sea, and river into every part of your stay.

Accommodation

Every room at the ryokan faces the ocean, so you can enjoy the view no matter which type you choose. Watch the sun sink into the sea from your window, or open the curtains in the morning to greet the light of a new day.

Room types include Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, spacious Western-style twin rooms, and combination rooms with both futons and beds. Some rooms are located on the top floor, offering uninterrupted views and extra quiet. If you’re traveling with a group or family, choose a larger Japanese-style room for more space. You’ll find basic amenities in every room, such as a TV, refrigerator, bath, shower toilet, yukata, towels, toiletries, and tea snacks.

Dining

Senami View Hotel takes pride in its seasonal cuisine. The kitchen prepares each dish with fresh ingredients from the nearby mountains, rivers, and sea. Local highlights include seafood caught right off the coast, premium rice grown in the region, and Murakami’s famed salmon dishes, which reflect the area’s long culinary tradition.

You can enjoy your dinner in your room with a course that lets you relax in private while savoring a traditional Japanese meal. Breakfast is served buffet-style or as a Japanese set, depending on the day. Both include local specialties like freshly steamed rice, miso soup, sashimi, and seasonal vegetables. You can also choose from lighter options like porridge and bread.

Onsen and Wellness

Soak in a large outdoor bath that faces the Sea of Japan. The waves crash in the distance while you relax in warm, mineral-rich waters. The wind carries the scent of the sea, and the horizon stretches endlessly before you. If you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of seabirds or passing boats while you bathe.

In the evening, the sea glows with the colors of sunset, and at night, the stars light up the sky above the open-air bath. These experiences bring a deep sense of peace and reflection.

The onsen water comes from the Ryusen hot spring source, a high-temperature spring that is cooled and adjusted for comfort. It’s known for its relaxing effect on both the body and mind.

Baths are available from early morning until late at night. Keep in mind that a short cleaning break is scheduled in the late morning. If you have questions about the schedule, check with the front desk when you check in.

Guests with Tattoos

The hotel does not restrict entry to the public bath based on tattoos.

Facilities

In addition to the hot springs, the ryokan offers plenty of space to relax. The lobby is open and comfortable, with free Wi-Fi. After dinner, you can enjoy a stroll through the public areas, or sit by the windows and look out at the evening sea.

Amenities include yukata robes, towels, toothbrush sets, tea service, and bath items like shampoo, soap, and razors. Items such as hair dryers and cotton pads are available in the large public bath area. If you need something else, the front desk will help you.

Activities

Murakami is known for its salmon culture. You can visit the nearby Miomote River, where salmon return every year, and learn about local dishes that use every part of the fish. You’ll also find small shops selling salmon jerky, pickled fish, and hand-crafted souvenirs.

Nearby attractions include the beach, historic temples, and walking paths with scenic views. Don’t miss the opportunity to watch the sunset over the Sea of Japan—one of the region’s most beautiful sights.
